I would tell my children (when they were young) not to give up something like candy...most of the kids at school did that...well because my kids would only have candy once a week......we called it candy day......soooooo
I would make the kids do something for others......or not talk ill of others.......that is what I do.....I forgive the few people in my life that have done unkind things to me or my family.......I forgive them and will not talk about them .....this to me is the hardest thing ....do unto others.......

Tonight hubby and I went to the Mexican restaurant......they have two for one deal on days that it snowed.....so we got basically got 13 dollars off the bill....gotta love those days.....I had the naughty chicken chimmi with guacomle and mexican rice and salad.......hubby had the super tio burrito......both delicious.....I love the green stuff the best.

We're taking a mega spontaneous drive 9 hours to the south west of us!!!!

Our Disneyland AP's expire next week. So park entrance is FREE this time.

We're taking the Toyota not the Suburban so we'll get great mileage.

Booked a no- tell motel called the Islander Inn and Suites (two full stars, out of 5). We bought snacks and breakfast stuff at Walmart.

It's a quest to do it for as little $ as possible.

Jordan is staying. No, I will not be a grandmother in 9 months. Thanks for thinking that.

So we're going from a grey slushy cold winter day to the 70's and a little sunshine! Not to mention the new Nemo ride!

The goal is 3:00 leave time. 5 hours later we'll be at Buffalo Bills at the State Line of Nevada where mama will attempt to win some souvenir $ by playing Texas Holdem. Won't win and will be stuck with pin trading and photographs only.

Do you know how CHEAP it is at Buffalo Bills? $59 for a double queen size bed room. ((High Five!))

Crazy or What???? Sheez it's certifiable! Or brilliant?

We are headed to a junker junk store today to get some treasures for the house. Yesterday my brother picked up an old washboard fit for packing in your traveling case and using in a pail.(So says the instructions) It's SO cool! We're hunting a big rusty saw to paint our family name on and hang in the living room.

On the color front, my bedroom is a nice warm green that hopefully will go well with our dark furniture and linens, so says my decorator friend. Scarily all I could think of that first day that it was still wet and glowing, was it looked awfully DIS(sy).

It's not snowing today....

Mommy P -- My bedroom is a green too. When we first painted it on the white wall it look like a grass stain. But when it was done it looked great.

The Ash in Ash Wednesday does stand for ashes. The blessed palms left over from last years Palm Sunday are burned and the ashes are put on our forehead in the sign of the cross.

Lexi-- Can't say as I got it but I will know who your President is once you have a new one....

What takes weeks or months to get ready for, I got 24 hours. 8 of which I slept. We leave at 3 today. That's the goal. That'll take us to the Nevada/CA state line tonight where we are staying at Buffalo Bills. Home of the biggest baddest roller coaster, the Desperado. The one roller coaster to ever scare the bettlejuice out of me.

We'll take off early and head to Anaheim and check in to this "hotel" (2 star, mind you) The Islander Inn and Suites (ironic name I assure you). We'll stay in the parks till closing.

Sunday, we'll go to the parks and have to leave a little after noon to drive straight through to home to make it back around 11PM ish. Monday is school and work.

We really want to go on that new Nemo ride. Anything else will be icing on the cake. MMMmmm....caaaake.

I'm doing what I rarely do. HAVING NO REAL GAME PLAN.


Now, driving with 3 children in that teeny weenie Toyota will be a TREAT. Norah's carseat takes up the whole middle of the back seat, leaving Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum not a lot of space. Ominous Foreboding feeling of dread

LilG- I can honestly and truly tell you Me in a green leaf would not be a good thing by any stretch of the imagination. Unless said leaf was a massive palm leaf from the Jurassic Period. August huh? This is lovingly called the Budget Board Trip. Pop Tarts, Cereal Bars, canned diet Pepsi, fruit, box of Triscuit and Wheat Thins and a can of spray cheese, fruit snacks....you get the picture. Avoiding dump shops at all cost. Blinders will be provided.
