UMA-- was going to go cherry but decided on Maple cabernet. The stain still has a red/brown tint to them. My floor is going to be Dura cermic. A new product that looks like cermic but is made of stone and something else so it will be warmer and won't crack if something is dropped on it.Cheaper labour to put it in too. I like the hardwood look but it isn't the greatest where water may get to it. Neighbours had it in there kitchen and the dishwasher flooded. Had to pull it all up.

Marita-- how are the taxes going. Are you getting mega money back...

Lil'Blue-- she was pretty happy out there skating that was the end skate where they all came back out.

No second kitchen. My table is in the living room with another card table set up with a microwave on it. So when I went shopping everything is to be cooked that way. Plus an odd time out I am sure. Lunches are easy because they are cold and breakfast is cereal or toast. Paper plates too...

My taxes are done! Well, at least figured out. Still have to do the final form and all that.
Getting a whopping $172 back, which is much better than paying $1,500-$2,000 like we did years ago.

I love to camp out .....when we redid the kitchen here .....we just had a terrible time trying to figure out what menus to have...Our cabinets are oak....hubby made them here and it was his first attempt.....they are beautiful and I love them.....we had an antique table with mega round legs also oak and he made a silent butler to hang stuff on...we used to put the sweaters that could not go into the dryer and also mittens in the old days..

We just got back from LL Bean and Reebock store.....got a new pair of sneakers for Disney......so did hubby....had a on line coupon sent to me and saved 40 percent ....LOVE THAT....

Now we are home and I can figure out what to make for supper.......any ideas??????

I also love the little skaters........she is adorable

we had an awesome time.....25 for dinner at the restaurant and then 20ish here for dessert and booze....yah some of my family like to party.....

we had alot of different foods to look at after everyones food came out.....it was almost perfect timing on everyones dish....I had baked haddock and pasta and salad and YUMMY BREADSTICKS with dipping sauce........out of site....

But it is raining, and I am tired.
SO it it may be a quiche and texas toast instead.
Not that anyone cares what I have for dinner, LOL.

Actually, the above would be all meals.

Hubby and I discussed retirement today. We have about 2 1/2 years worth of earnings saved up in IRA's. Scary
But I gave up on the Villages, and he agreed on some sort of active community

Hubby said The Villages are all Mobile homes. I said we started out in a Mobile home, we can finish in a Mobile Home! I would rather live in a community with activities than live in a brick and mortar home with NOTHING to do.
Anyway, all a few years off at best.

we got the five dozen........after I wrote it here on friday I thought I had better take their advice and get another dozen.....I had maybe 8 or so leftovers and they are in the fridge.......I love the bismarks.......they are sooooo good......

WELL ......getting down to the nitty gritty ....should try on a few things and see hwo they fared over the winter......OH HOW MUCH I GAINED......I did lose a few when I was sick but I gained it back.....


hubby and Megara are looking out the window .......it is wide open...air is not bad but no sun here.....looks like it wants to snow but I think it is warm enough to rain......

I love to go for a ride to LL Bean .....and see what is there for sales....there are so many stores besides that....you name it and it is there.......well almost there....but alot of good outlets.

I honestly did not have anything to do with the moving of the posts back...I think that they were doing that to alot of the big ones.......remember we have to start a new one when this one gets to big......

It is very nice here today, but I am still hanging out inside. We had a call from our daughter earlier this afternoon so I'm glad I was home. Her master's project is due on Friday so she and all her friends are working on their papers and getting ready to party Friday night after they're all turned in

Yesterday, she went to Jacksonville, NC, to visit with her cousins. My nephew who is in the Marines is heading off for his third tour in Iraq
