Good news....Everyday Minerals works as well if not better than Bare Minerals according to most of the posters! Did ya hear that Wendee & Sandee??

And....I didn't know anything about this experiment with long threads clogging the arteries of the DIS til I woke up today! Webmaster Alex said he was experimenting with threads over 10K posts. And the Moover's thread is down and has 6K posts and the Peeps thread is UP and has 22K posts?

Morning everyone.........In the old days any threads over a certain amount (dang if I can remember the amount) had to be started over again.....so nothing ever got this large.
This morning for some stupid reason my bs was high again......trying to figure out what the heck is doing it.....I had a good supper so not that.......I will find it ....honest.
I think we are ready for disney......our neighbor came over and we were discussing our reservations for the meals......we are going to four with them and also four others on two of the reservations....
Yesteday I looked at some bathing suits on line......especially at Beans.....they had some cute ones ....but will only know if I try them on......you know.because of my impending OLD age status.....I need to dress appropriately......

Morning all,

Another cold one here again. The kids got to go straight in to school which means it has to be -20 out or more.

Darn Kay found us..... The Dis is moving faster this morning then it has been for the last few days.

Lexi-- You could have just made something up this morning....who would know.

Mommy P-- did stop in last night. Hope she is feeling less stressed today We need an update picture of Isaac since he is now gaining weight.

I have to run out in the cold to get groceries. I hate shopping on Friday too. My fault for leaving it for this long. Now we have no milk or bread. So I have no choice. At least I don't have to worry about my frozen food in the trunk today.

Lexmelinda I think they work as good if you are not entrenched in BE - I have tried a couple of the other mineral makeups - and some do NOT feel good on my face - some do not give me the same coverage - because BE has so many customers they have an extended line - lots of eye colors, and now I'm using their zit help stuff (its like Rare Minerals!!)

Pumba good luck on your BS - I'm coming down with a cold, so my levels are whacked!! I'm just taking my chromium picolinate - it helps stabilize my blood sugars - (its in the vitamin aisle at Target,Walmart) my grandmother was an insulin dependent diabetic and swore by it (always cheated on her diet with no reprecussions, ie ice cream but that was her, but I have low bs, she made sure I took Chromium!! I dont always...)

Melinda, I have been using Everyday Minerals for about a year now. Love it! And it's faaaaaar less expensive than Bare Minerals. Plus, you can get free samples of most of their stuff (you pay only shipping).

I've used pretty much every brand of makeup out there at one time or another (I was a high-end cosmetics buyer in my pre-kid life), and this stuff is great!

I am currently experiencing angst because we are waiting for the Fios dude to come do our installation. (I think I mentioned this last night, but no one can see that thread now ). I am a bit irritated because I know that I'm going to lose my internet connection for a time today. Hopefully, it won't be a long time. Also, there'll be a time with no TV, and I'm not happy about that either. But DH insists that getting Fios is a good thing. We'll see.....

I think I'm going to do some cooking and catch up on my laundry. Fun! Cya later!

I too have let the grocery situation get dangerously low. I even had the brilliant plan of hiring my hotT college chick babysitter today so I could run tons of errands childfree. BUT she has hotT college chick plans. And she dropped out of college and is mooving home next week.

Luther - I'm not sure how I feel about changing my mineral make-up. When I started wearing Bare Minerals I started getting so many compliments about my skin(which is sucky, I still get zits). Plus when I went in for my induction my nurse kept going on and on about how nice my skin was for being pregnant. I said it was the Bare Minerals.

But I might try it if you can get free samples.

Do you realize how much money we'll get if this tax rebate goes through? $1200 for the couple and an additional $300 for each child. lol! We are so not paying bills with it. It's going in the savings account until he gets job and then it's buying furniture and paying or a vacation. Of course, he doesn't know that yet.

Twinkie - I think it is mostly just feeling overwhelmed by school. There just isn't enough time in the day these days and I just want to have time to spend with the 3 little ones too.

On Saturday we'll be at my Mom's so I can get some pictures uploaded quickly. Then I will show more pictures of Isaac and the house.

Lexi-- I don't wear makeup and I really don't do anything else to my face but wash it. Now my mom's cabinets are full of lotions and potions for staying young and she is going to be 75 next month.

MP- I understand being overwhelmed by anything at this point. I barely can keep up with meals and laundry and kindergarten homework. I am a homeschooling mom dropout so I don't want to pressure you but I really don't think you will be happy with them in school. You spend almost as much time dealing with school as teaching school. Especially if you plan on taking them back out in a year. Since you school year round and all your children are bright- can you just take an extended vaction from school? or knock it down to the absolute bare bones- just reading? Lots of research shows that when you learn to read which is the major point of elementary school (age 4 vs 6 vs 10) has NO bearing on your long term academic success. I don't know anything about the laws in FL- here in KS it is very homeschool friendly. No tests. No mandatory reporting. You only have to keep track of attendance (hrs in school) but you don't even have to report that unless they have a reason to ask you.

All that said, my kids are in public school and watch spongebob. I draw the line at juice boxes but I am thinking of converting. Those babynurse kids look smart. Maybe my kids need juice boxes. Hmmm......

If not, I'd just like to thank everyone for their input on the issue. I got the Bare Minerals starter kit for Christmas and LOVE it. But. It's just a leetle bit orangey for me.

One of the posters on the minerals thread said that she went with Everyday Minerals because it's NOT orange looking. So. I reckon I'll get some samples and check it out.

NAB....Next time we're all at Disney we're gonna tie you down and do your make-up! You would love Bare Minerals (and Everyday Minerals too I suppose!) It's like not wearing make up at all.

MommyP....I missed your post last night. Hope everything is OK.

Moo....This thread does run lots faster than the other but I need the birthday post from over there before they get rid of it or anything.
