Yesterdays Moonlight Magic was my first.

Walked onto with no wait:

Frozen
Test Track
Soarin’
The Land
Space Ship Earth

GotG was a 15 minute wait, but I skipped it,

Free snacks
no park admission

back to the resort by midnight….

I know I paid a lot for that perk but was totally worth it….

Last trip it was a sneak preview of “Strange World“. Not as enjoyable, but the kids loved it….

Last trip it was a sneak preview of “Strange World“. Not as enjoyable, but the kids loved it….

We attended the 2/8 Moonlight Magic with another DVC couple and, although well worth it for ride times & the extra fireworks, it was disappointing and confusing compared to all previous MMs we have attended in regards to the Food/Snack offerings. There were no signs/banners identifying where the food coupons could be redeemed, or an itemization of what those food items were. We spent an hour circling the world showcase, getting odd looks from the food venues and conflicting information from the CMs.
We wound up leaving with 3 of the 6 food coupons unused.
On 2/15, we stuck around in the park after closing, just to see if there was a difference, and there was some additional communication being offered from the DJ at the intersection point of the world showcase & future world.
Still, all in all, previous MMs were better orchestrated. The last one we attended, prior to 2/8, was Animal Kingdom in 2020, which was awesome. We received vouchers for an entire meal, and the ice cream locations were illuminated with MM signs.
Again - I'm grateful that we got tickets (after more than 2 hours in the online queue), and we had a great time, sans the snack situation. I do hope future MM offerings will get back to the level of service that we experienced at AKL.

Everywhere that was open was providing the free items ice cream, etc and allowing the use of snack coupons. At least to my knowledge.

Also we were giving a flyer with the coupons to indicate what locations would be open .

I try to go when it is a full moon because there is more moonlight to be had, so long as the sky is clear.

We have only timed things right to do one Moonlight Madness and loved it! It was SO much fun. Hoping to luck into another trip in the future.

In their defense, having multiple food booths surely complicated things. The different timing of redemptions was initially confusing to me.

After normal park hours, the regular food locations were well lit & marked on the map.

if anything, the flyer just was not well designed IMO would’ve been far easier to just which state food booths weren’t included. KISS, we’re in Epcot mode...not the sorts to drink all the way around the world but, not exactly razor focused either in order to get a complicated game plan into place For the event.

Granted, the info was there, just a bit of a pain to have to plow thru it all when excited & ’raring to go. Would’ve been nice, before attending, to give time to review it in relaxed mode.

my strategy wound up to just focus on the stated food both exclusions. Before joining the often long lines, would look at the stand up tent menu board to see if DP was indicated.

Yuup - & thanks for posting the details.
As you said, we were in full-on game mode, and hungry, and chatting between 2 couples.......
We still had a GREAT TIME, and feel fortunate that we scored tickets, but I wanted to give some honest constructive criticism in hopes of the opportunity to improve the future MM experiences.

Question for you, and others seeing this thread:
What do you think a ticket to Moonlight Magic would cost, if they were not available free to DVC?
We were chatting with a couple at EPCOT on the night of 2/8, and they told us they were going to a ticketed event at one of the other parks (DHS msybe???. It was an after hours package and they paid about $139 per person.
If that’s a reasonable dollar amount, then MM adds a significant value to the Blue Card perks. Especially if you attend MM at multiple parks.

What is not so scary Halloween cost.
or any of the other marketed events.

for me the gave us 40 or 50 dollar worth of food per person…..
I got to do and entire days worth or rides in 2 hours…. So lighting lane speed
no lines
and we didn’t need a park pass to get in…..

200 / maybe 250 dollars in value ……
