Moonlight Magic - Disneyland??

Got registered, but it wouldn't let me put in an alternate name or change the name to another person on our membership number like in the past. It auto defaulted to the first person listed on the title which is my mom who I not attending. Hoping member services will be able to assist

Ya, I faced the same problem ... it force-fit my husband's name. Yes, we *think* he'll be attending (that is our PLAN for now) ... but as this is a mid-week event ... something (work) might interfere. I choose to ignore the "member name" for now ...

I actually just called member services, they said it won't be an issue as long as I am able to show my valid membership card in my apple wallet since they mail hard tickets for the Disneyland Resort events.

This was the easiest registration I've had, but I've never not been able to register for a moonlight magic at DLR since we started going to them in 2017 (missed 2016 since I wasn't on the title at that point and my mother was traveling out of the county). I also feel like beyond social media this event wasn't really publicized and it's also only 4 weeks away so those that are not local would be planning a very last minute trip.
 

Got in and registered but I’m disappointed that it would only let me select a total of 5 attendees. My husband, who is also a member on the same contract couldn’t register separately. We will have to leave out 1 of our 4 kids :(

It's always 5 attendees per membership, or up to the maximum room occupancy if you have a reservation.

Unfortunately, it's only one registration per membership ID regardless of the number of people on the contact, which is the way it's always been when registering for moonlight magic. The only way to have registered more than 5 was to have an onsite reservation for a total higher than not. And the only way I've known people to hold more than one reservation is because they have multiple member IDs from owning more than one contract with different use years.
 
I know the e-mail states that "Admission media is expected to be mailed by January 23, 2023 and sent via USPS" but those who have attended in the past, how far in advance did you receive the tickets/parking pass in the mail? Our flight to California is on January 27th so I'm hoping we receive them in time.

Same, it has my husband's name and he's not going.
I was in the queue to get in the queue for about 2 hours prior to 8:00. When the queue opened there were 1041 people ahead of me, and it took about 10 minutes to get to my turn.
Regarding the discussion about WOC, years ago at a DCA MM (possibly the very first one?) there was a special WOC showing. IIRC it was at the very end of the night.

In the past I feel like they arrived 10-14 days before the event, but registration was also closer to 6 weeks out from the event.
 
Definitely agree this was a fast and painless registration! I actually feel like I recall the total number being 6 a few years ago as we were able to invite a couple friends. We’re ok with 5, but there are so many families with 4 kids.

It was 6 in the beginning. Then after the nightmare of the 2018 event at DCA it dropped down to 4 for the 2019 events.
 
Sorry if this has been asked before....if I have 2 DVC direct contracts (= 2 membership numbers), can I register twice? I was able to online, but I don't want a problem to arise at the park gate if they tell me it's 1 DVC member and 4 guests per reservation, and I'm essentially listing myself twice. Not sure if this is allowed. I'm on hold with member services and they don't seem to know either...
 
Not even an email this morning from DVC for this sign up like the WDW ones. Can currently still get immediately in to attend over an hour after queue started. I was 641 at 8am pst. Will be our first time. Looking forward to it.

Not having hundreds of on-site DVC rooms with occupancies averaging 8 or 9 people per room doesn’t hurt. A few posts in this thread suggest there can be as many as 31,000 DVC guests on property at any one time at WDW (or as “few” as 20,000 based on configuration) assuming 100% occupancy.

That is definitely strange it would not let you change the name and default to the first name on the deed.

I registered last week since I have a DLH reservation. I have 2 memberships (one a mix of resale/direct points and one resale only). When I tried my blue card ID, it would not work, but did with my white card (someone else had the same thing happen in this thread). So, I called MS yesterday and they did some checking and confirmed I am for sure on the list for that night and as long as I can produce a digital card in the wallet for Direct, I will have no problems getting in. Tried to get in the queue today to book with my other ID and I kept getting that early registration was over and it would not work. No big deal since we are good for that night now.

Yeah, this is the first time I’ve never had the option to put in an alternate name.
 
Anyone receive the paperwork in the mail? That’s so odd why not email it? Hope I receive it before we leave as we fly out a couple days early from Michigan.

oh I see they won’t start to send until 1/23…that’s not good!
