OK, the day has finally come!!! The alarm went off at 4am to get ready for 5am limo p/u. I was up all night anyway, so it didn't matter. Took limo to JFK. Got checked in and took Jet Blue flight. It was the kids' first plane ride and they were great! They watched tv and munched on the snacks given out. I would recommend Jet Blue all the time, great service!
Tony from Cartier Limo was waiting for us at baggage claim. He was very professional and courteous and his car was brand new and clean! We stopped for groceries and headed for WL. Now the moment I have been waiting for... walking into WL's lobby. OMG!!! I couldn't believe how gorgeous it was.. I was glad I wasn't the only one walking around with their head up!
On to front desk. The CM asked if we had any room preference. I knew we were getting woods view anyway, so I mentioned if we can have a room near #5014 (I remembered someone from the WL thread mentioning this room number). She said, well you can have that room if you want! Great! The room wasn't ready yet, so we went to WC for lunch. DH had Fried Chicken and a milkshake, I had a Chicken salad and DS and DD had Chicken fingers and fries. Everything was delicious and the service was great. But, it was kind of quiet so nothing crazy was going on.
Room was ready, walked in and went straight to balcony, opened up and ... we can see the castle !! YIPPEE!
There is an opening in all the trees which allows us to see it! We can also see CR and the monorail.... great! The room seemed comfy, we washed up and all of a sudden, I heard my DD scream.. She went to "potty" and my DH flushed the toilet while she was still on it... OMG! nobody mentioned how powerful that was! She was almost traumatized! (Just mentioning this to any just potty trained kids!) Anyway, we decided to go to MK. Went to boat dock and waited just 5 minutes! Took boat over, walked into Main street, guess what, they were all getting ready for Share a Dream Come True Parade! A family must have just left from a curb, b/c we got great seats on Main Street. The parade was awesome. DD was crying with happiness and screaming each character's name. A few came over to pat her head or high-five DS's hand. Peter Pan even kissed DD's hand! I had tears in my eyes watching my children! I think we videotaped their reactions more than the parade itself!
After parade, we walked to Fantasyland. What's this? The Philharmagic was open! Pixie Dust on us!!
All I can say about the show is... every one of your senses are tickled... it is absolutely the best attraction! LOVE IT! (we ended up seeing it about 4 times during our stay!) Then, we quickly got on Dumbo. DD loved it! Realized we were running late for PS at Chef Mickeys. Ran to Monorail, it was waiting for us (more Pixie Dust!). Hopped on and went CR for Chef Mickey's. Dinner was great and the character interaction was even better! Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale were there. They joked around with the kids for a little and signed autographs. After dinner, we had some energy so decided to take monorail to Epcot.
It was almost 7pm so we only got to go to Spaceship Earth. DS loved it. Then, we went to World Showcase and rode Norway and Mexico's boat rides. Then, we lost steam... We wearily walked all the way back to bus depot and waited what seemed like an eternity (but only 15 minutes). Got kids "home" and bathed them in their sleep practically. Got them to bed. We unpacked and got ready for bed ourselves. I don't even remember my head hitting the pillow! What a day!
Coming up... Day 2: MK and CRT!
