Where in the world can I get a Monte Cristo Sandwich :confused3 ? I checked the online menu at Earl of Sandwich and few other menus, but no luck.

My 20 year old daughter makes a pretty mean Monte Cristo... she was wondering the same thing (for when we go in December).

The only place in FL I've seen them is at Bennigans. If they have them at WDW, I'm not aware of it. That's not to say they don't. I don't have all the menus memorized quite yet. ;)

I have gone through most of the menus planning my upcoming trip and have not seen one anywhere. I would have noticed as I am I Monte Cristo fanatic! :worship:

No Monte Cristos in WDW. I asked this question previously a couple months ago. Apparently yea, there's this Bennigan's place. I'm totally checking it out when we go.

Nope, none at WDW.

I have only had them at Bennigans. Tasty but very rich.

Thanks, everyone. I've been searching and haven't found any place, either. I guess it's just not at WDW :sad2: I had one at DL, in New Orleans Square and it was really good..was just hoping, to get one at WDW, this time. Oh well, still can't wait to get to Disney :yay:

In Disneyland...you can get them at Blue Bayou and I think Cafe Orleans as well. They are yummy.

WDW not having a similar restaurant is ashame. This would be so extremely popular at WDW.

I've asked this question before too, and recieved all the same good info, find a bennigans! I assume its a chain restaurant in Florida.

Actually, Bennigan's is a nationwide chain. There's only a few states that they're not in. You must be in one of them. Don't worry, you're not missing anything. ;) IMHO, it's not a very good place to eat. I'm not a big chain restaurant fan though. I do know people who have eaten the Monte Cristo there & loved it.

I'd be happy as well if every chain restaurant I know just disapeared. I can't think of one I'm ever like, "ooo I want to go there". Doesn't happen. But, for a monte cristo, I'll do it.

Really? No Monte Cristo sandwiches at WDW?

When I was about 15, when MK was the only park, we had lunch 2 days in a row in what I imagine must now be CP, and I had a Monte Cristo both days - my first time ever, and it was a big hit with me!

They used to have them in the restaurant at the end of Main Street. That was a LONG time ago. ( 25 years) I can't remember the name of it but it is gone.
served w/ warm maple surup :lovestruc

The Monte Cristo at Bennigan's was served with red raspberry preserves. At least, that's what it looked like. I just saw a dining companion's meal.

Yep, my parents ate there on their honeymoon and had Monte Cristos. That was in 1979.

Doesn't the Earl of Sandwich have something called the "Full Monty"?

THey have "The Full Montagu - roast beef and turkey with cheddar and Swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato and mustard sauce"

Not a Monte Cristo sandwich

They used to serve them back in the 80's Columbia House in Liberty Square! It was the best Monte Cristo I have ever had! I wish they still served them! Thanks for helping me remember!:lovestruc

Don't get too excited about Bennigan's MC sandwich. It's awful. Instead of grilling the French toasted bread, they deep fry it. Blech! Instead of just being a mildly greasy sandwich, it is abhorently greasy.

Oh, and they do serve it with raspberry jam. WTH? They don't have maple syrup for it.

I, too, would order MCs at WDW. YUM!

If it's a real Monte Cristo, then it is supposed to be battered and deep fried, not grilled. They aren't supposed to be allowed to soak in the grease, however. Too bad they don't have them at WDW. They used to have them at Opryland in Nashville, TN (the now defunct theme park) when I worked there during my college years. They are SO good.
