Monsters University hat help!

Costume crisis!!! (feel free to movie if this is not the right area to post question)

Usually I'm good and crafty with costumes, but I am at a stand still with this!

My husband and I are going to be the Greek Council from Monsters university. I am going to be Claire and My DH will be Brock. I have be trying and trying to find a MU hat for him, with NO success. Disney made an adult version, which goes on ebay for quite a bit, and we can only find kids versions now. I even called Disney merch, and they have none.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can make that hat on the cheap? Any thoughts? I'm going crazy on how to make this. I know its a one night thing, but I would wear the hat for my marathons and other things, so it would get future use, and I do want it to be nice.

Get a sheet of felt at Michael's for like $.50 and draw / cut out the logo and paste on any blue hat you have laying around?
