Monsieur Paul Reopening October 18th! New Prix Fixe Menu Announced at EPCOT -*UPDATED WITH PRICE*

Well, so much for that idea...

That is WAY too expensive.

Also, DW doesn't eat seafood, and 2/5 of the courses only offer seafood options. For that price, I would hope that they would offer alternatives, but that too much money for us either way.
I don't eat seafood either, like ever, lifelong. But I have tried it at restaurants like this on the rare occasion and actually enjoyed it. It's the kind of thing where if I was a celebrity/rich and could have fish cooked for me like that I would be ok living that lifestyle. :)

Man, that menu looks delicious. Too bad we have a two year old :worried: Looking forward to seeing some reviews soon (hopefully with pics!).

$195 seems very pricey for this menu. We’ve been to a number of excellent wine paired dinners that are much better priced than this and have more interesting menus. Of course, they don’t have a cheese course 😜 and they’re not in EPCOT.

My wife still hasn’t decided if we’re going here or CG on Saturday.

Can I wear shorts, sneakers, and a button down..? Yes it’s signature, but it’s also in an inferno-temperature theme park

Should be fine. This is the dress code:

Dress Code
This restaurant is a Disney Signature Dining experience offering fine dining with a distinctly magical flair. Guests are expected to dress accordingly in attire that adheres to the restaurant's sophisticated and upscale aesthetic. Clothing should be clean, neat and in good condition. Please no swimwear.

Nothing mentioned yet about an available wine pairing, but with this level of a meal I assume there will be one. Eager to hear the details.

I have been here many times, even back when it was under a different name "Bistro de Paris", and I have often worn shorts, sneakers and a nice collared polo shirt, however I would not wear like swimming trunks style shorts or like blue jeans style shorts. I have always worn either khaki style shorts or dress-style shorts.

Having been to all the signature restaurants over the years in Disney, I can safely say this is the one I wouldn't want to test the dress policy by showing up TOO casual, i.e. a Mickey T-shirt and a bathing suit short outfit. I have seen people get away with that at Cali Grille and the others but this one definitely hits different than those. While it's not Victoria and Albert's, it is a small intimate and very refined and elegant experience where the wait staff are in tuxedos and the tables are covered in white linen table cloth.

You will definitely feel better about yourself in that environment if you look presentable in a preppy way. What you're wearing sounds great. It doesn't have to be a button down but definitely a collared shirt for sure.

Has it always been limited to guests over the age of 10? I honestly don't know. I thought Victoria and Alberts was the only place with an age minimum.

No, prepandemic there wasn’t an age requirement. This new iteration seems to be very upscale, similar to V&A but a notch down. I’m looking forward to the reviews, especially from guests who can compare to recent V&A and California Grill experiences.

Before the pandemic, there used to be a small kid's menu at Monsieur Paul. They decided to take that away for this reopening.

I'm really sad - this restaurant is where my wife and I celebrated my birthday and I'd always have fun dusting off my rusty French skills with the wait staff. We had been anxiously reawaiting the opening date and so excited when we saw it would be before our next visit. But this is too much food at too high a price for us to consider for her birthday this December. We can eat excellent food at Le Cellier for probably half the price, and have more flexibility with our choices, and what we want to share vs have separately. I hope that they consider expanding to include some a la carte options as well as the Prix Fixe. Because it's almost certainly off our list for now.

I’m very, very surprised that Paul Bocuse’s signature V.G.E. Soup is not on the new menu.

When in doubt, I defer to slightly overdressing than underdressing. I feel better, the staff appreciates the “respect” for their hard work, and they also tend to be more responsive and go that extra mile to make sure you have a special evening. Everyone wins, including the other diners who have to look at you.

It was wonderful! I could not eat it all but they had to go boxes . We are at BWI so easy to take back and store for later .

We just ordered our wine preferences instead of the pairings . I think we had 3 red 3 white and one grand marnier . Bill total before tip $548. I think he said pairings were $110 pp but I could not hear him well so could be different .

We also thought no kids allowed but we heard a crying baby.

The experience was wonderful . Hope you get to try it too!

Thanks for the details and pics. How long were you there?

Thanks for the photos @trishadono. Reminds me I never posted after our dinner in January. Unfortunately were not lucky enough to get a window table. I think our reservation was 5:45 & all the window tables were seated by then. We were there on a Thursday & all the tables in the restaurant were eventually full. We don’t really drink & my DH doesn’t eat seafood. We weren’t sure how the meal was going to work out for us but I wanted to try it anyway. Unfortunately I didn’t write down our waiter’s name but he was wonderful, so friendly & accommodating. He had come to work at MP in January 2020. And left in March. He was finally able to return last in November & was so happy to be back.

Part 1
Since we don’t drink, he gave us nonalcoholic welcome drinks. Very sweet, tasted like a fruity punch. I loved it, my DH didn’t so I got to drink both.

My DH was given the vegetarian option for his first appetizer course, I didn’t get a picture but it had 2 small cherry tomatoes with an olive tapenade. His replacement for the fish course was an onion tart. He enjoyed both courses & thought the tart was absolutely delicious.

I had the mussels soup & the scallops. OMG the best scallops I’ve had in a long time.

Our server encouraged us to try the pear brandy palate cleanser so we did. We would have preferred the plain sorbet, the alcohol taste was unpleasant for us. We both had the fillet which we enjoyed. I don’t know that it was the best fillet we’ve had at Disney. The mashed potatoes on the other hand were amazing. And after the scallops, I think the beef was just a little average, lol.
