Monday, December 8

Finally, we're going to MK today! Ds is really excited now!

We head out for our bus stop (the east depot, and the last stop). Man, is it crowded. We barely get a seat on the bus. Hmmm, I thought Mondays weren't supposed to be all that busy at MK.;) We get off the bus at MK and it looks very crowded. Dh is kind of freaking out; but I keep reminding that it is awfully close to park opening, and it may not really be all that bad once people get inside and spread out.

We also got our first look at the Mickey statues. Very cute! We make it inside the park; and it's not really all that crowded! We head straight for Pooh for a fast pass, then hit the rest of the rides in Fantasyland (except for Peter Pan, we'll wait until we can get another fast pass!) Lines really were not that bad (with the exception of Pooh and Peter Pan--about 30 minutes each). We kind of wandered back and forth between Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Toon Town until lunch time. By the way, we are soooo not going commando this trip! Even though we do spend long days in the parks, we're not racing from attraction to attraction. We're taking our time and taking in all of the sights!

After lunch at Cosmic Ray's we do Buzz one more time then head over to the barber shop to see if we can get ds's hair cut. Their weren't too many people in front of us, and we only had to wait about 30 minutes. Ds looked sooooo cute with his blue hair and pixie dust that dh decided to get his hair cut too! (he also opted for blue hair and pixie dust! and, I love the mickey head that she painted on the back of their heads!)

By the time we were finished with hair cuts it was almost time for the parade. We decided to skip it since we've seen it so many times and head over to the other side of the park. Dh takes ds to do Aladdin while I go to LTT to see if we can get a dinner ps for tonight. Of course, I was too late for that night; but I asked for Tuesday night (thinking no way it was going to happed since it's the night of MVMCP) and got a 6:05 ps!:teeth: I couldn't believe it!

I caught up with ds and dh and we hit the Tiki Birds, POC and Jungle Cruise. And got a Dole Whip! Ds wouldn't do Splash because he was afraid he would get his hair wet!

Dh had a fast pass for SM so he wanted to head back that way. After that we went to Tony's Town Square to see if we could get a ps there. We got one, and we got a table outside! :Pinkbounc We were able to watch Spectro from there! After Spectro we decided to skip the fireworks (since we could see them at MVMCP) and head back to POR. We took ds to the food court for an ice cream, then headed back to the room to get some sleep!

Tomorrow--AK and MVMCP:earsgirl:

Last minute trips are the best!! Granted it takes away from the fun of planning. BUT it also takes away the anxiety of waiting soooo long for that trip to arrive. DH & I usually fit 1-2 last minute getaways in a year. Same thing as you, wake up one morning with no plans, only to leave that same day for a trip. Thankfully, our jobs are flexible like that. Can't wait to read the rest of your report.
