Can you take the monorail if you are not a Disney resort guest?

Also, is there any reason to take it if you are not a Disney resort guest?

Thanks!

Alot of people take the monorail to get from Magic Kingdom to Epcot if visiting more then one park in a day and are off property and don't feel like moving the car. I believe your park tickets allow you usage of all of Disney transportation. Also, alot of people like to visit other hotels or have a meal at the other hotels on the monorail line. Hope this helps.

From the parking area (Ticket & Transportation Center) you only have two choices to get to the MK. One is by boat the other by monorail. You can also take the Epcot monorail from the TTC.

It's fun just to ride it around one complete loop, even if you're not "going" anywhere! It's elevation gives you a nice view of the grounds and the bigger WDW picture.

As long as you have purchased a ticket to a WDW theme park you are able to take the monorail or any WDW transportation (although I've never heard of them checking for park tickets or resort IDs to use ANY of the WDW transportation, so I doubt anyone would even check).

If you are only visiting one park (especially if it's MK or EPCOT) you can jump on the monorail and take a ride on it just for the fun of it.

One thing that I like to do is catch the resort monorail from the MK and take a tour of the three resorts at which it stops. You can get off at each one and check out the resort or eat at the resort eateries. You can also shop at each of the resorts. The GF and CR have some really nice shops. The GF in particular is worth the trip.

We do the monorail almost everytime we are at WDW, DS insist on it. We've even been known to wait for 3 monorails so DS can right up front, he wants to be a monorail driver when he grows up so we spend alot of time on the monorails at WDW.

I never saw anyone asked to show proof of tickets..

By the way Bill I saw you are from Boca Raton. Was down there a couple weeks in November working security in Delray Beach. Stayed at the Embassey Suites and it was very nice.

::yes::

I've seen a CM at the TTC checking tickets before allowing admission into the area where the ramps to the monorail and boat are. Usually before noon.
