Monorail Yellow

A few weeks ago we purchased a Yellow Monorail at OUAT at DD. We already own the red one and the Dumbo and Astro Orbiter that are already under our tree. The yellow monorail and switching station arrived on Christmas Eve and to our disappointment it will NOT work. It gets stuck on any imperfection on the track and it stops on the little switches for the accesories.

We also had a friend who told us his first yellow monorail did the same thing, and he had WDW send him a new one and the new one is doing the same thing.

Is anyone else having a problem like this??? We really wanted to add to our set up, but sure can't if the trains aren't working.

Pinnie - I've noticed my yellow monorail doesn't seem to run as well as my red one. Seems like it has a hard time even with fresh batteries in it. Didn't think much of it until after I changed the batteries but now that I read your post, I'm starting to wonder.....

I got a yellow monorail for Christmas and when I first set it up had the same problem.

I added alittle track and made the curves smoother and made sure that all the connections were pushed down firmly and now mine runs without a problem. I even have 2 attraction switches that activate as the monorail passes and they work great.

Good luck with the problem. My problem now is locating other color monrails as I would like a different color or 2 and on e-bay the prices are very high.

We tried to run the Yellow one again tonight on the Red Train track and we are encountering the same problem of it stopping at the switches. Guess this one will be returned, too.

We are collecting ALL the monorails and hope to have them set up in our basement.
