Hi all! We are new to the forum...this is our first post! We have been "lurking" around and learned a ton from all you Disney experts! We are headed to WDW Oct 10-18 for our honeymoon. Have been swayed by all your advice to stay in the "world" but need advice as to where to stay. Hoping to spend about $125 per night....what do you recommend?

Thanks for everything!!!

For a honeymoon (in that price range) I would recommend either POFQ or CSR.

We stayed at POFQ for our honeymoon and it is a very romantic resort. It is very pretty all lit up at night and they have carriage rides down by the river. Plus the resort is the smallest of all the resorts so it just seems more intimate but you share all of the amenities with POR.

CSR is also a wonderful resort. It is a beautiful resort with lots of little places to explore. It also seemed the most adult oriented moderate resort because it is also a convention resort. The Pepper Market is really good and the bus service is the best we have experienced at any resort. We had a king bed room overlooking the Lake and the view in the morning was spectacular.

Neither one of these resorts is on the monorail. You will have to spend much more to stay on one of the monorail resorts. The cheapest monorail rooms are the garden wings at the Contemporary. I think the best rates I have seen for those rooms are around $150 with an annual pass discount. The rack rate is around $200.

Welcome to the DIS!!!!

I agree with becka on this. POFQ would be my choice. Easy access to Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island via boats. With this being 50th Anniversary for DL, I doubt you'll get 125.00 rate for deluxe. I would book room now and just keep checking the deluxe rates you jest never know.

I agree that in the $125 a night price range, POFQ is your best bet, however, if I were you, I would put Disney Dollars on my wish list for wedding and shower gifts and then use the extra $$$ to stay in a Deluxe. Don't misunderstand. POFQ is a beautiful resort and it has a very romantic setting, but for your honeymoon, you just might like to splurge a little. Wherever you decide to stay I hope it will be a magical and memorable stay in the Kingdom.

POFQ is very romantic and for a honeymoon couple it is very convenient to be a boat ride away from Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island, etc. We used to spend lots of time in the Pleasure Island area before we had kids! There is also a nice movie theater in that area, along with Planet Hollywood. You'll probably spend a little less than your budget of $125/night at POFQ.

If you can go a little bit higher than the $125, WL is a very nice deluxe resort that can be very reasonably priced. It is also a very romantic resort with beautiful grounds. It is a boat ride away from MK. AKL is also nice that would be in about the same price range as WL.

Those are the 3 resorts I would recommend. Happy planning!
