Monorail question

What time does the monorail start running? I'm getting conflicting info. as I start making PS.
If it doesn't run before 8:00, what is the best way to get from the CR to the Poly?

I'm pretty sure it's running by 7am. You might want to ask on the transportation brd.

talk about memories - back in 92 - when we stayed at the Cont -we would always eat at Kona Cafe in the Polyn - every morning the CM at the monrail would apology because something was wrong and they couldn't get the silly thing started....

Anyway we always got to the Poly by 7:40 - I am pretty sure they were trying at 6:45 each and every morning....

now that they have a more reliability system - I am sure it is going at 7:00am.

The monorail starts at 7am. I called guest services last trip because I was trying to figure out how to get to MK by 8:15 for the KKK tour.

Yep, the resort monorail starts at 7am.

Was the conflicting info from Disney Dining? You'll get better info from the Transportation forum here and most especially from Tyler....aka Chip'nDaleExpress who worked on the monorail.

The monorail operating hours are 7 am to 11 pm, later if the MK is open later.

Disney Dining told me that it starts running at 8:00 and a reservation clerk at W Disney said it is 1 hour before the parks open. I like the info that you guys are giving so I'm planning on 7:00. Thanks!

Don't listen to the Dining folks...

As someone who drove the monorail, I can assure you, it starts up at around 7:00am, daily.

Is maybe some of the confusion that the resort monorail opens at 7:00, while the express monorail opens one hour before the park opens? (I thought the parking lot for MK didn't open until an hour before the park opens, thus there would be no need to run the express monorail before then.)

I'm not sure if this is the case or not, so I'll defer to Tyler on this one.

The TTC opens at 7:00am, but guests without priority seatings will be held back. The Express Monorail will not start service until 8:45. Those with priority seatings will be allowed to board the resort monorail which starts at 7:00am, and services the CR, TTC, Poly, GF and MK.
