Monorail playset

We have one but we use it to put around our Christmas tree. It depends on how rough the kids are whether I'd call it durable or not. We love it but it really doesn't get played with that much even at Christmas. We got ours several years back before it had extra pieces. I'd like to add some things to ours. Pretty cool. Our DGS3 and DGD4 love it as well.

We have one but it is only brought out to be put around the Christmas tree, so not sure how durable it would be if played with constantly.

My kids do really like it, but probably because of the novelty of only seeing it once a year. We also have the Epcot ball and the Contemporary.

We have one too. We got it in the late 1990's.

I had it around our tree once & my oldest started to play with it & really press it to turn it off so it sits in the attic for a safer time.

My youngest will be 4 in March so I am not sure if Monorail Red will see day light this year or hopefully next year.

But I wouldn't get it for my kids to play with, they have the Thomas wooden railways that are battery powered & much more durable.

We have it and DS plays with it, but he is very gentle. The accordion plastic pieces between the cars smash easy, but that is the only problem we have had with it. The sounds are authentic, but be aware, it says "Please Stand Clear of the Doors, but not "Por Favor....". That was a bit of a letdown for us. :upsidedow

My DS got this when he was 2 he is 4 now and still loves it. Plays with it a lot so I think it's worth the $$$

My son bought that with his birthday gift card when we were at Disney recently.

It worked correctly for about 5 minutes, then the sound broke. :headache:

We got ours when DS was 3 or 4 and obsessed with the monorail. He's now 7 and still sets it up and plays occasionally. I agree with previous posters that it's no replacement for Thomas (or whatever brand) wooden trains. My son played with those every day for years and now my nephew has them.

My DS (5 at the time) got the monorail set last year for Christmas after seeing it when we were at Disney. I think it's pretty pricey for what it is. The characters that come with it are so tiny and break easily where they are jointed. The doors have all come off and are lost, those are tiny too. But otherwise it still runs. I don't think it turned out to be as exciting as he thought it would be. The track takes up a lot of space and you can't really change it to go anyother way than the big oval that it is. I don't think he really plays with it too much anymore. Maybe after our upcoming trip he'll have a renewd interest in it.

We have the green one.
