Monorail model

Can someone tell me where I can find a Monorail model. It would be nice to have one with a track. If they even sell one. We are going to WDW next week, anyone see where I can buy one down there.

Almost every store sells the current blue monorail. It comes with enough rails (track) to go around a small Christmas tree. It's essentially a toy...

Is that something like what you are looking for?

Yes thank you! I just wanted to know if I HAD to go to Downtown Disney to find this. I hadn't planned on visiting there this time. Thanks!

Saw it at Yacht Club... Mouse Gears... MK... don't remember where. Always available at the Contemp. I'd guess all the hotels gift shops- maybe not OKW. Nah, you don't have to go to DTD.

Do they come in different color stripes? I thought I read somewhere that the black stripe is only sold at WDW. Is this correct?

Usually you don't see several colors for sale at the same time. "Blue" is the one they are selling now! Black was available a while ago, but now... all gone! Mine is red and I think that was the first color sold. I've also seen yellow and purple- have no idea what years...

By the way, the new blue train is a little different from the previous editions in that "blue" has movable doors, detailed interiors and hinged roofs so that you can set your little Disney characters inside. I'm pretty sure they include four characters with each set. Sorry, I didn't really look that closely...

Blue one is current...runs $70. You may also want to pick up any accessories for it while you are there...they are getting harder and harder (read "paying thru the nose" for on Ebay) to find. My DS loves his blue set...we are too late in starting his collection...Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Epcot, SpaceMtn, Orbitor, Dumbo, Teacups....all retired. You can bid for them on Ebay, but most will run you big bucks.
