We are staying in a DtD hotel, and one day we want to do a monorail loop, going to all of the deluxe hotels, but not going into the parks that day. I have two questions - #1 - Where should we park to do this (free)? Is the resort monorail up and running right now?? We are planning on doing it next Thursday.

TIA!!

Resort monorail was up and running all day last week, but they have been doing a lot of monorail maintenance, so you never know when that will change.

In terms of parking, unless you are a guest of one of the monorail resorts or eating there, you really should be parking at the TTC. If they aren't busy, they will often let you in anyway if you say you want to visit the resorts.

If you don't want to pay to park at the monorail resorts you can try parking at them although once Halloween parties start you are unlikely to be allowed to park there without a dining reservation. If you want to do it for free though you could take a bus to a monorail resort from DTD and then at the end bus back to DTD.

I've done this a lot over the years. I generally park at the TTC and then walk to the Polynesian, visit, and then take the monorail to the GF and CR. Obviously, your way works too since you're staying so close to DTD. Have a great time!
