Wow! What an awesome weekend (as always

). Hehe, though I think my liver might still be recuperating.
We headed over Friday afternoon and got to POFQ around 3pm. The hotel is so nice! I like how everything is so close together. No matter where you are, everything is in very close walking distance. The pool area is so fun and I definitely think kids would enjoy it. Heck, I would have enjoyed it if the weather wasn't so yucky all weekend!
After we checked in we headed over to Epcot and made our first stop at the Rose and Crown Pub.
Me with my beer
We knew that the line for Soarin' would be long, so we thought we'd get some beers to drink in line and pass the time. Well unbeknownst to use they don't allow food or beverages inside the line area....nothing like a beer buzz from having to guzzle the rest of the beer to pass the time in line. Hehe! Soarin' is such an amazing ride! We waited 75 minutes (no fast pass), but it was well worth the wait. The IMAX screen is awesome!
By the time we were done with that it was time to head over to Alfredo's for dinner, which turned out to be delicious! I know it's gotten very muxied reviews on here, but we really enjoyed it. The food and service were great! The only thing is it can be a bit loud inside since the restaurant is really one big room, but we didn't mind.
Brian drinking some wine, we were killing time before our PS.
In the lobby of Alfredo's
After dinner we headed back to POFQ and just walked around the grounds and along the river. It was so pretty!
Saturday morning we headed to MGM. DH is a big Star Wars fan so he was super excited about Star Wars weekend...but since it was raining none of the characters were out and about. We did get to go on the Rockin' Rollercoaster, the Tower of Terror, and Star Tours though.
We had plans for a late lunch at Earl of Sandwhich @ DT Disney, but it was *ridiculously*crowded. Since it was already almost 2pm we decided to pass and go to Rainforest cafe (we got right in). I don't love RFC, but I don't hate it either, so it was an okay choice for a quick lunch.
We did a little shopping and then headed back to POFQ to get ready for our anniversary dinner at Jiko. Our anniversary was actually yesterday, but we decided to do our special dinner on Saturday night. We got to AKL early enough to make the cursory stop at Victoria Falls lounge. What a neat lounge! I love how it is open and looks over everything.
Yummy Dirty Martinis
Happy Anniversary to Us!
Dinner at Jiko's was nothing short of unbelievable! Their menu was diverse and unique - everything we had was delicious! We shared the Lamb Patis and the organic field greens salad. For entrees Brian had the wood grilled pork tenderloin and I had a vegetarian dish that was mixture of different grains, vegetables, and tofu. There are so many great things on the menu, we are already planning to dine there again when we go back in November.
After dinner we headed over to the BW to continue the libation at Jellyrolls. As always, we had a grand time!
Sunday before we left we went up to POR and rented one of the surry bikes and road around the grounds there! That was so much fun and it was a great way to see everything at POR.
Whew, I think that's everything! Hehe, let me know if you have any specific questions.
