I know the current monorail they are selling at WDW is yellow in color. I got one for Christmas this year. YEAH!!!

How many other colors exist? Is there a listing of them somewhere that shows everything?

Any help would be appreciated.

My son has a black one, which was the first, and a red one. There is also a Limited Edition Monorail which was sold at the Disneyana Convention in 2000 and came with an LE Certificate as well as being individually numbered.

Now, you have to start buying all the accessories that go along with it . . . ;)

I was lucky to get a few accesories for Christmas, my wife got everyone in the family to buy me something so I ended up with:

contemporary
grand floridian
epcot
2 attractions from park
switching station
cinderella's castle

But most doesn't fit on the small track I got and only one monorail so the switch isn't much fun right now.

But I ordered extra track from WDW which should be here soon and am looking for any other colored monorails I can find, mine is yellow.

But as usual it takes time to find everything.

We have the RED monorail. Dear Grandmother purchased it for DS 5 (at the time) in 1999 at the Wilderness Lodge. He just HAD to have it. At the time we thought it was kind of "a bit much", but nothing compared to our current collection:

Basic Monorail
EPCOT Spaceship Earth
Contemporary
Grand Floridian
Polynessian
Switching Station
Magic Kingdom Castle
Animal Kingdom Tree of Life
Magic Kingdom Haunted Mansion
Wilderness Lodge (Lincoln Log Set)
And, plenty of extra track!

It "barely" fits under my tree this year. In fact we had to put away the Contemp. because we didn't have enough straight track. Guess we'll just have to pick up some more on our next trip in 20 days! DH has finally accepted the fact that we can't deal with it only being a "Christmas" thing. He knows he's going to have to 'somehow' add it to his 10' X 12' train layout. Or, he'll just have to build another addition for it! LOL!

Good luck with the monorail! It brings a smile to my face everytime I see it!
