Monorail, Car, Bus...WWYD?

So I am traveling to Disney with my family (DH, b/g almost three year old twins, parents and brother) and staying at the Contemporary. I plan to just walk to MK (that's doable, right??) but am at a loss as to what to do the other days. For our Epcot day, we are going back to the hotel midday for nap time. Will it be easier just to drive, or should we take the monorail? For our AK and HS days, I think driving will be much easier than taking the bus, right? I have been to Disney but this is my first time staying onsite and my first time with children. Any suggestions?

We've done park transport both using Disney transportation and driving our rental car. Other than MK (which you can walk to/from when staying at CR), I would drive to AK and HS. EPCOT is a toss-up because using the monorail requires a change at the TTC.

Yes the walk to MK is 10 minutes from there. Epcot I would take the monorail. Yes drive to the other two parks.

Thanks for the response! I keep going back and forth with what to do about Epcot. We are going on a morning EMH day, so I was thinking of maybe driving to get there super early and driving back for nap time, but then taking the monorail after the nap in the afternoon.

I would drive to Epcot. Getting there early puts you closer to the entrance.
