Well, I was just enjoying the peace and quiet of a school cancellation day, but the dog just barked her head off at a passing truck, so I'm sure the kids will be up soon.

my brother just got me up to tell me he was going to snow blow driveway, sidewalk, porch

no school today which is good as we were both totally worn out after big weekend

Kara only got DQ'ed once in 14 swims, took time off her 100 breaststroke, 100 IM, 200 Free, 200 IM, and a couple of funnies heard from coaches - after her first 100 yd butterfly - she went up to coach and he said "well it wasn't the prettiest thing he had ever seen, but it was legal", and when she finally decided to kick in her last lap of the 500 free other coach said "what in the you know what fired out of her butt?"

all in all not a bad weekend - she won one of her heats - got a heat ribbon and earned her rubber duck for swimming the 500 for the first time

I am thinking a nap will be in order for this afternoon

Marla, that is amazing how many events Kara swam. When my two swam, no one was allowed to swim more than 3 events. That was the league rule, in 2 different leagues.

All of the schools are closed in the area. Looks like icy mornings forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday also.

No clue on the riddle but maybe it will come to me.

Carol - I am not sure who sets the amount of events swimmers can do - every meet we have gone to so far it has been different. For this meet, it was stated 5 events per day not including relays - the meet for this upcoming Sunday is 5, but the one at the end of Feb will be 3 and only 1 relay per day - so I still haven't figured it out

Also have noticed meets where they swim their own age versius swimming 11-12 makes a difference

I start my program today..eating right and exercising.... I gotta get to work on losing this nasty weight...
