Afternoon ladies. I went for my anatomy scan this morning, and it's a boy!!! I was convinced it was a girl, so I'm surprised but happy. Apparently my baby has no modestly whatsoever because he showed us his goods immediately. The doctor also said he looks healthy, so we're just waiting for the results of the quad screen before completely breathing a sigh of relief.

Congratulations! How exciting!!!

Hello ladies!

I'm in again! We had a surprise (however you define "surprise" ) last week when I got a BFP. I'm still breastfeeding my 13 month old little man, and I hadn't had a period yet (or any indication that anything was happening, again) so we were a bit shocked. But good shocked. We wanted kids that were around 2 years apart, so this should be about perfect.

I have to go in for a dating ultrasound because I don't know how far along I am (my LMP was October 2009 ) but I would guess that I'm somewhere in the 5-7 week range, so still really early.

Anyway, nice to meet you all! Looking forward to getting to know you ladies over the next 9 months!

Hi Ladies!
Hope I can jump in....

After 9 years of infertility, clomid,miscarriages, IVF, failed adoption we are finally going to be parents.

We have a wonderful surrogate that is our "baby nest" for our twins that will arrive in April.

I'm an older first time Mom and we are just over the moon!!!!

Welcome! I'm going to be an older FTM also. I am 37 now, will be 38 at the end of October and plan to wait until AJ is a year, then start trying for our 2nd. So I will be close to 40 when that one is born if things go as plan!

I don't have the patience either! I made our anatomy scan first thing in the morning on the first day that I was allowed to make it! I could never have handled letting the tech put the gender in an envelope

No patience here. When the doc scheduled ours at almost 21 weeks, I paid to have a u/s done at 16 weeks 3 days so we would know ahead of time!

I lost 20lbs in 3 weeks with my last pregnancy. I ended up on a Zofran pump to help with the vomiting...the nausea was still there so I ended up with another oral med to help. There was some days I could eat nothing, so they encouraged me to drink...drink..drink. For a few weeks it was gingerale, then the thought of it made me sick...so then it was ice tea....then fruit punch. I had a nurse calling me daily while on the pump and she said as long as I could get sugar down it would help and to remember the baby gets EVERYTHING.... I would get very little and start to use my "stores" if need be.

I now have a healthy happy (most of the time!) 4mo old!

Elisabeth, I also CRAVE orange juice. I could seriously drink the whole carton everyday! It must be the nutrients in the OJ that my body needs and that's why I'm craving it!

I crave watermelon like it is going out of style!

You can take Unisom to help you sleep. Its safe during pregnancy. I've been taking it since week 6 almost every night. I take it for my nausea, but also is so nice to be able to sleep!

Benedryl is okay as well.

Good afternoon, ladies! Its been so long since I have been here. I've just been so busy with work and getting ready for baby! I am almost there. To update everyone, I am in a boot/air cast right now b/c I have a stress fracture in my left foot (what a way to end a pregnancy, huh?) and I'll be in it until at least Oct 7th (thats when I go back to the orthopedic). I am due Oct 5th! So, needless to say, I'll have the boot the entire rest of my pregnancy.

Two weeks ago, at my prenatal appt, doc checked me b/c she thought I might be breech, but I was just high and closed. Last week he was engaged, I was "super" effaced and dilated 1 - 2cm. Doc thinks he may come early. I am going today, so we'll see if there is any more progress. I am almost ready, I haven't packed my bag yet, or gotten fitted for a nursing bra. I still need to pick up a few things for at the hospital and right after for me. But everything is ready for baby. Also, being a teacher, the week I am due we are supposed to have conferences and grades are due, so I am trying to get all that stuff done early. Its stressful, which is another reason I wish I would go early, then I wouldn't have to worry about all that.

Welcome and congrats to all new gals! I think several of us are at the end so its good that there is a new "crop" to come in and keep the thread going! Also congrats on all the boys! It really has seemed like the Year of the Boy!

Thats really it, except I find it all very surreal that I could have the baby at any moment. Its all so real now!

I feel you on the boot cast! I've been in one for almost 7 weeks now. I have two fractures in my left foot, I'm actually going for a second opinion tomorrow with a new doctor hoping that they will send me to physical therapy so I can't get this injury healed!
