Pollito - She's adorable! Look at all that hair! My DD was bald until she was 1. Congrats again!

Congrat Pollito!

Yay for someone else not finding out the sex! We did it with our first and it was so cool to be surprised! Do you have any gut instinct? We just felt that our first was a girl and we were right!

IHeartTink -- I've always said that I wasn't going to find out the baby's gender, even well before I was pregnant. I just think it will be such a fun surprise. I don't really have any gut feelings, but I do have a much longer list of girl names than boy names.

As for finding out early, I think I tested around 4 weeks too. I was charting, so I tested on the day after my period was due and got a positive. My doctors' office also doesn't see patients until they are at least 8 weeks, so I had a long wait to officially confirm it. I was hoping they'd at least want me to get a blood test, but instead I just got to wait.

My next appointment is next Tuesday, and the office called me yesterday to say that they needed to add an ultrsound to my appointment because the spine wasn't well visualized in my ultrasound pictures from 2 weeks ago. I'm not really worried because the ultrasound tech said that the baby wasn't positioned too well to get good spine pictures. I mean, you can tell the baby has a spine, but I guess nothing beyond that.

i'm liking the pattern here...if it continues to go boy-girl-boy-girl, I'll have a girl!!

Congrats Pollito!!!!! She is beautiful! I actually got a tear in my eye looking at the picture of your DS kissing his baby sister! It took me back to when my oldest (now 15) gave his baby sister (now 13) and kiss for the first time. I think of that image in my head and look at them now and i tear up. Next I know he will be kissing her before she walks down the aisle to get married!

I know you have all heard it a million times, but as the most senior mom-to-be here (I think?) - let me tell you all .....IT GOES SO FAST!!!!!

Vettechick - I remember the going home pic of Baby G - I thought that headband was the cutest thing ever. Where did you find it?

I found it on etsy. luvablecreations is the seller. Great quality!

Okay guys I am sorry to be like triple posting but I have a question for you all!

At about how many weeks did you get a BFP because I feel like I got mine super early and that I may be further along than I think. I called my doctor for an appointment yesterday and I am not going until the end of of October and even thought I won't see a doctor so I am just wanting to see if I am crazy!

I took my first test at 4 weeks and and 4 days and that just seems so early to know!

Am I just being paranoid?

I knew I was pregnant a few days after we conceived. My left breast started to hurt and get bigger, and that's never been a PMS sign for me. I called the doc and they said I might be pg but I'd have to wait til the BFP. That took another 11 days! :confused3 so I was just under 4w when I found out. Weird how my breast knew I was pg so early. I wonder if it knows this week's winning lotto numbers.

Congrats Pollito! So excited for you. Love the name.

Pollito - I forgot to comment on the name. I LOVE it. It's funny because me and DD had talked about the name Shaylee Isabella Rose for the baby....Dh just didn't like having two middle names. So as for now, she is middle name-less :rotfl:

Vettechick - thanks....I'll have to check it out.

Just saw the pics, Pollito. She's a doll! Look at those chubby cheeks. :cloud9:

Ok, I know it's not always right, but I swear all of my friends it was accurate and it was accurate for both of mine. So, I'm curious if you all checked yours out and if it was right.

Your age at the time of conception and the month the baby was conceived is needed to determine boy or girl.

It said I was having a boy. So wrong for me.

New additions to the list! Let me know if you want on!

Says I'm having a boy..Well it was 50% accurate for my last 4 pregnancies...however since I like patterns ;) - It was accurate for my even numbered kids and wrong for my odds - so since my fifth is an odd number, I'm thinking it is wrong again :)

Congratulations Pollito! Beautiful baby.

Well, ladies, I'm out for awhile. My hubby and I had our first ultrasound on Wednesday, but there was no heartbeat. The baby should've measured closer to 8w2d, but was 6w3d. We are taking meds on Monday to take care of everything. We are devastated. I will say I am glad I did so much research before we went b/c I knew there was a possibility of this outcome. My hubby had no clue and was completely blown out of the water. Also, b/c it only took us 2 months to get pregnant, we are hopeful that once we get through all this, physically and emotionally, we will be successful again. Please keep us in your thoughts during this difficult time and I hope to join you ladies again in the future.

Renee - I'm so sorry you are going through this. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know it's going to be tough for you. I've been there and understand your pain. I lost 3 babies to miscarriage, 2 before DD, and 1 just last year before DS.

I'm sorry. You will find quite a few gals on here that had miscarriages (like me) only to have healthy babies later. I hope the same for you!!

Thank you, ladies. I appreciate the kind words and thoughts. I know that it is very common, which is sad, but gives me hope!

Renee, I'm so sorry for you loss. Take time to heal, both mentally and physically. You sound like you have a positive outlook for the future, which can only help! :goodvibes

Thank you. Just trying to be hopeful. I think I have decided to call the doc on Monday AM and ask for a confirmation u/s (I have only had 1 u/s)...not b/c I think they are wrong but b/c I have heard too many women say they felt bad afterward b/c they didn't. Don't need that feeling on top of all the other feelings I am sure I will have.

so sorry for your loss. i too had 2 miscarriages and then went on to have a healthy baby girl and now am expecting again. even though it is common, it doesn't make it any easier.

i don't blame you for another US> i have a friend whose co-worker was scheduled for a d and c for a miscarriage and asked for another us. they ended up seeing a heartbeat and she went on to have a healthy baby boy. it is rare- but like you said, you don't want to regret it later if you don't ask.

I am so sorry this happened. Prayers to you and your DH.
