Still hangin in over here, been having a ton of back pain and more contractions than I'd like. I'm on pretty restricted bed rest now, I spend almost all day on the couch watching tv. I'm ok with that . DH leaves work to bring me lunch, so that I don't get up and cook real food, which I would likely do. Aline is doing well, but I don't think she's too happy with me right now, I keep poking her when she kicks me, lol.

The bed rest stinks, you have my sympathies. It's so boring! The results are worth it though!

I looked!! I thought about calling the company, they have a phone number on their website.
If anyone is interested and wants to make their own look the bedding set is called "Baby Dino" by Lambs & Ivy.
I'm planning on purchasing the woodland critters set as soon as I figure out our mess of a checkbook so that I'll STOP LOOKING!

I totally understand what you're saying about the pain, too. That is why I figured I'd do something but stinkin' Catholic hospital. Why do I have to love it so much there?? (Oh what a problem to have, huh? Loving your hospital so much you don't want to go somewhere else.)
After my gallbladder surgery I got 100 Vicodin (7.5/750 ones) and I took maybe 12. My DH was like.. why are we getting the refill? Because it's $5 and at least a years worth of freedom from "that time of the month".. Then I got pregnant again. Whoops. Probably didn't need all those Vicodin...

It definitely could be worse than liking the hospital! I understand what you mean about the hoarding meds. DH had his vasectomy and got the refill on the vicodin even though he didn't need it, he was like, for a few dollars, it's worth having in the house in case you get a period again before you get everything straightened out. I love him! And I'm sure yours won't go bad. My MIL's best friend is a nurse and said that it's some law that they have to put that it expires one year past the date you fill the script but that's really not the case at all. Worst case scenario is that it would be slightly less effective.

I'm not sure what happened with us but I used everything we bought. Which I don't think is typical at all... seems like changing tables are a love/hate thing but we LOVE ours. Lucas loves his swing and I'm just really hoping that this one does, too! It was so nice that he was content to sleep in his swing because I was so scared of holding him while he slept. He was so big, though.. that it hurt to lay him on my belly because of the CS incision. He was 9lb5oz and 22" long.. so even with his head right by my shoulder, he hit right where my incision was with his feet. It sucked. It does seem my incision is higher than most of the others on the New Moms thread, though. It's pretty much right in line with my hip bones.

We have a name! I can't believe I forgot, so I am editing this back in.

Owen. We're still working on middle names. We've only told my parents and my best friend and we're already annoyed because I got 3 phone calls last night suggesting middle names. I'm not against ideas from the internet but people that will have the ability to say, for the rest of his life, "I picked your middle name!" just really bugs me for some reason. Especially since we have a short list already.

My favorite is Owen Reid... but nothing is decided. I think DH favors Owen Walter... but I keep thinking that if I do that people will think we did it for Walt Disney.

We asked Lucas if he liked Owen and he spit up, so I think that means yes.

Ooooh, I love the name Owen and I like Owen Reid. If you guys are having a hard time choosing one, the little guy could always have two middle names- my son has two. Originally he was only going to have one, after my Dad who died when I was little, but then DH's dad died while I was pregnant so his name got thrown in there too. Poor Luke has such a long name but it's okay, all his names are special and he likes them.

Can I join in ladies??? DH and I TTC'd #1 for 5 years and after 2 IUI's I just found out I'm pregnant!! Got my first bfp ever yesterday morning. Confirmed with a digi this morning and then did a urine test and blood test at PCP's office this afternoon. We are SO excited!! I have been itching to join this group for SO long!! My EDD is 12/10/10 and we will be finding out the sex.

I have the PCOS also, as well as endometriosis. I know the feeling of being useless at that time of the month. The IUD is supposed to be a good choice for BC- no worrying about pills or anything, and I believe it lasts for up to 5 years. If you're not in a rush to have any more it might be a really good choice for you Talk to your doc BEFORE the baby arrives and have a game plan for afterwards- that's what I did this time around and it was much better to get the info/make the decisions now rather than at my 6 week checkup trying to figure everything out

Thank you so much for that advice! I never really thought to have a game plan, though now that you say it I'm kind of going, "Why didn't you think of that??" Well, now I know!

I have the multiple due dates too, it is very frustrating. I've been told April 10, 11 and 19. I always have to ask which due date they are calculating things by, everyone seems to use a different one. At one point I got frustrated and I was like, well, I guess the baby will come sometime between March and May!

Obsession with LOTR?? My son is Luke, as I've mentioned before. Since before he was born, DH has been doing the whole "Luuuuke, I am your father" thing. Our Luke is also part of a set of boy/girl twins so DH has big dreams that some year I am going to feel like making elaborate Halloween costumes and make Luke & Leia for Luke & Lilly, Darth Vader for him, that chick with the weird hair for me, and our oldest gets to be, I think an Ewok. He is completely serious that he thinks this is a great idea, so I hear you on dorky!

Yeah, that was a lesson learned the hard way, previously I just went to the six week visit and went "Ummmmmmm......." Not very helpful, but then again the last thing I wanted was any chance of having two kids 10 months apart I don't think I personally could have handled being pregnant and dealing with a small baby too.

Wow! My OB asked me after delivery, in the hospital what I wanted. We chatted in my postpartum room about it. She suggested Mirena, I agreed with her, but a big insurance debocle ended up messing it up. I had 2 companies and they were fighting- the primary one required pre-approval and (I think, personally, knowing I had secondary insurance) they denied it and the secondary wouldn't pay without legitimate reasoning as to why primary denied it. By the time her office got it straightened out I was 4 months postpartum and we knew we wanted kids close together so we opted not to bother with it. We planned to start trying at about 10 months postpartum with Lucas (so, right now ) but obviously that didn't work. out. hehe.

I'll be getting Mirena this time around, though. I'm planning on just going ahead and notifying her office manager to order it before I even go in for the RCS- that way it'll be ready and waiting at my 6week postpartum appointment!!

I will be 38 when I have our first in October.....I am a bit worried about us being older parents....but we are happy for the blessing - even though we had to wait a long long time. We try not to think about how old we'll be when the baby graduates from high school and college, etc.

After my 3 y/o was born I was going to get the Mirena too but my 6 week post partum pap came back abnormal so I couldn't get it.
I got pregnant when my now 3 y/o was 11 mths old but we lost that baby at 14 weeks
