Aurora - I hope the job interview turns out well for you. The current job doesn't sound ideal. I regularly travel for my job, and during the first pregancy, my boss never forced me to go anywhere I wasn't comfortable going and in general made the schedule easier for me, ie assigning me local tasks and sending someone else out of state. My co-workers at the time were all men, and were very good about not complaining, since it wasn't extra travel for them because I was still doing work.
Cici - congrats on baby Adam - he sounds adorable!
DMickey - the nursery looks great!
Piecey - how is your ear, getting any better? I get migraines too and my OB gave me a prescription for a medication that is safe to take during pregnancy last week. Haven't had to use it yet though. Congrats on hearing the hearbeat. I was only 8w3d at my last appt and they haven't tried to hear it yet. My DS was also often in the 160s, but I've heard girls usually have higher heart rates, so who knows.
Hulagirl - you're getting so close! I hope your L&D is as easy as the doc thinks!
Nette - I wasn't sure how I would handle a boy either, since I have no brothers and was mostly raised by my mom, but I love DS.
He is wonderful and it's so great getting to experience everything that goes along with boy for the first time. Except for peeing in places other than a toilet.
I hope all turns out well with the u/s findings.
Lauren - congrats on having a girl! I was conflicted with my maternity clothes the first time too, I thought they were so ugly. But it was a matter of finding some cute ones that I was finally able to accept it.
EmALee - don't let those annoying co-workers get to you! They usually mean well, but don't realize the effect they have on a pregnant woman. When I was almost 9 months pg the first time, I had to attend training at another facility and a woman I had never met before went into great detail on her L&D, including pain, tearing, etc. I was traumatized.
phragmipedium - never had that feeling and hope I never do!
Foundmyprince - congrats on the new due date!
arubio - sorry to hear you've been so sick!
I hope your mom is able to be there for your L&D!
Kiki - How did the belly casting go? I've never done it because I don't think I could stand the feeling and have no idea where I would put it, but I think it's kind of cool.
Lindsay - sorry about the cancelled trip, but it will be for the best to make sure you have a healthy baby!
