What a great morning! Went to the dr and all is well with the Bean! :goodvibes We weren't able to hear the heartbeat but we saw it and we definately saw him swimming around! He was very active which was soo cool! The dr said that everyone looked healthy and for now my main thing is to watch my blood sugars. We have our next appointment for April 11th and we will have an amnio done then too. It was a great day and now I can't wait to open my bag from Old Navey with my maternity pants and stuff in it!:cool1:

SUCH good news!!! So glad you got to see and hear Bean! Isn't it love! :)

Are you going to find out what you are having when you have the amnio?

Maternity clothes already!?!? Grow, Bean, grow!!! :) My pants are just starting to get tight... I'm carrying high, so far.

Congrats!!!!!

I've had high heartrates like that also! My first was in the 160's, and my last was 154 I think. Most also tell me with high rates like that, it's a girl.

Not to burst anyones bubble, but the whole HR thing is an old wives tale. My high risk Dr said that you have the same chance of guess the sex based on HR as you do by flipping a coin!!! (eta...read back a few more and saw you all already discussed that!)

Meg....are you on a Zofran pump for the hyperemesis? I had that lil bugger with me for about 2 months, it made all the difference (I lost 20lbs in 3 weeks before starting it!). I am now off the pump and only occasionally have nausea!!!

glad to hear this! what did he say about your trip?

E- I am so glad everything is going well! Congrats!!

Ariel- jealous of the doppler, that would have saved me a bunch of paranoia early on.

Snow- Hope you get to feeling better soon.

So, Just finished my first week of work. Man, was I exhausted at the end of the day! I also noticed that I started out the day walking normally, and by the end of the day I had that lovely waddle going on. I got out early twice the first week, but next week I figure I will try my best not to leave early as I want to meet all my hours and save up some cash for maternity leave. A friend of mine is working in OB this weekend and she is giving me some tips on what dose to ask for when I get an epidural!! :lmao: "I know your tricks you cheapskates!! Don't start me off that low!" Though past experience tells me that as a 'professional courtesy' we tend to drug the heck out of each other whenever staff comes in for any sort of procedure.

We got DH's results from his microchip on Wednseday, and he has severe reflux. The doc said we will try him on meds for a month, but he will most likely end up needing a surgical procedure to fix the valve between his stomach and esophagus. His valve is currently completely incompetent. The doc showed us a little chart and said "See this red line? You should normally stay above it. People with mild reflux may dip below it 2-5 times during our 2 day test.... you dropped below it roughly 60 times." :scared1: DH is actually excited for procedure as it will entirely correct the reflux for most people. He would also rather have surgery than to take pills for the rest of his life since we are still young. Though he made the mistake of looking on youtube for footage of the procedure he would get. Not a good choice by DH.

The baby is good! She has perfected what can only be described as a 'fish flop' maneuver inside. That is the most uncomfortable move she does. I have my 28 week appointment this week with the GD test. After that we have 2 weddings to attend next weekend. One wedding on Saturday where DH is a groomsmen, and the wedding on Sunday is for my cousin.

Today we went to the Farmers market and there was a lady there who makes headbands and Tutu's for babies. The set of Tutu and headband for newborns is only $25 for her to make for you! I took her card and will definitely get in touch, since I love the look of newborn pictures with the bow/tutu (even though everyone does it, it is so sweet looking). We also got some fruit and veg and a really yummy avocado & goat cheese dip. :thumbsup2 After that it was off the Babies R us to pick up the changing table my parents got for us. I felt so bad watching DH drag that thing up the stairs. He brought it up and we have it now sitting back in Charlie's room.

It is so odd that now I have a big tummy, we are acquiring furniture, and it is starting to seem real! I am also having a lot of pelvic bone pain. It is bad at work. I also don't get to a bathroom frequently at work so I think I will ask my OB if it would be safe for me to start a regimen of Cystex or something similar because I am very prone to UTI's. Even without pregnancy I got them chronically. Now that I have written a novel I will go. Hope everyone else continues to do well!!

Good luck Ladies!

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the boards, and got really excited when I discovered this thread. My name's Nicole, and DH and I are expecting a baby boy (Liam Connor) June 29th. Anybody expecting around the same time? I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Sally: I am due June 15 with a little girl, Charlotte Maria (Charlie). Welcome to the thread!

glad to hear this! what did he say about your trip?

Oops! All clear for the trip! Thank God! My biggest worry was the spotting but he told me that is normal since alot of it is caused by the second sac from the other baby absorbing:angel:. It really surprised me as I thought that the sac would have been gone already but it is still there.

E- I am so glad everything is going well! Congrats!!

Sounds like you had one heck of a week!:goodvibes I'm thinking of getting a doppler for us as well before we leave on our trip. It would just give me some piece of mind.;) Im glad your DH has been diagnosed and has a plan for getting better. Totally agree that it is probably better to nip this in the bud now too. YouTube is the Devil! Although helpful it can scare the bejeebus outta you! Sorry bout the pelvic pain! We have enough going on down there without all that adding to it. Is there anyway you can drink cranberry juice and water throughout the day. I know it's harder to pee but the water I'm sure would definately help and I'm sure they, of all people, would understand the pee factor!;)

Hi Nicole! Welcome! How exciting for you! Liam Connor! Not by chance Itallian are ya?

Wecome! We are leaning towards Liam for a boy!

Another Liam! Lovely Meaghan! (PS My DSD's name is Meghan:goodvibes)

Today we are getting packing done for our trip! I have tried on dresses from last year and good thing they are all mostly A-line or baby doll dresses so I will be good to go! Hopefully we will be all packed up by tonight:) Can't wait to be on our way! Yahoo!

PS by the way 18 year old girls who think theyare all that and a bag of chips annoy me. . . I'll explain more later. . .

I actually have a stainless steel water bottle I carry. I put water in it each night so that half of the bottle becomes one big block of ice, the other half I fill with cranberry juice. That way I have a watered down cranberry juice to drink all day. It definitely helps! However, even with that I can feel symptoms come and go with my poor little bladder.

We have our first official piece of furniture, the changing table, all set up in Charlie's room. As DH's reward for his hard work we went out to a really good local BBQ joint yesterday. It is about a 25 minutes drive but well worth. It may have been a half way selfish move as they did have some killer bread pudding. :rolleyes1

E- Have fun on your trip! Glad to hear you have some clothes that can be brought along and not have to go shopping just yet.

Awesome! So glad all is well!

My Old Navy doesn't carry maternity! I have to go all the way to the mall to get to an Old Navy with maternity, and I didn't to do that this weekend, but I had a 30% off coupon, so DH and I went and I just bought some bigger shirts that should work for summer and a St patty's Day baby shirt for next year for our little bean! Then we went to Kohl's. Had a 15% off coupon and a $10 off coupon and I got some maternity pants. Whoo hoo! Don;t ya just love getting maternity stuff? I love it!

I'm so glad I did. We have only used it the one time, but I am sure we will use it more often as time passes.

So, Just finished my first week of work.

Yah to first week being over!!

Share the info, please!! :) I will definitely be getting an epi.

I wish my hubs could get that. But he has insurance through the gov't (he was in the army for 6 years) and they will medicate him forever and probably never give the surgery. Thats just the way they do things. :( I'm glad I have my own through my job...

The baby is good! She has perfected what can only be described as a 'fish flop' maneuver inside. That is the most uncomfortable move she does. I have my 28 week appointment this week with the GD test.

So glad the baby is well. Sorry about the uncomfortable maneuvers.

Sounds so cute!!

After that it was off the Babies R us to pick up the changing table my parents got for us.

Awesome on picking up furniture! When we were shopping yesterday, DH told me that we will be having to get a crib soon..lol. I said that we have some time and maybe one of our parents will buy it for us. And he said, ok, but we aren't waiting until October! LOL He is so cute!

I used to get bladder infections so much I was on a daily antibiotic (for years!) but I guess I grew out of it. Though I have had some pains lately, like one is trying to come on. Hope this pregnancy doesn't bring all that back on.

Sounds like all is well! Have a great weekend!

Welcome! I am not due until October 5th...

Uhgg! I thought tonight was the night. I had contractions all day and finally they started getting regular and were about 5 min apart. So I really quick grabbed a shower. Well the warm water relaxed me and things slowed down. I was on the fence whether I should go in or not, but decided to be safe and go in since my other babies came pretty fast. Well, when I got in there, sure enough I'm having contractions 3 minutes apart but they aren't that strong ( I could barely feel them at this point) every 35 minutes or so I have a doozie that makes me stop and moan. So, I had my choice to stay - let them break my water and start speeding things up, go take a walk and see if I progressed, or go home and labor at home until I was having the doozie contractions every 5 minutes. Since it's been so long since I had a baby, I needed a reminder of what the doozies feel like I think...I forgot how they stop me in my tracks. I was starving and if I stayed I wouldn't be allowed to eat or drink..so I decided to go home and have dinner. So here I am. Don't think I'll sleep a wink tonight unless everything slows down. This could be tonight - tomorrow or a week from now. Frustrating.
