Went to the Dr this morning...nothing to report other than I think I forgot to tell you that last week the Dr said Lily's head is down, so we're set...I'm only 1 cm and still under 200 pounds! lol

That's great! Question...how does the dr. tell if the head is down? Did they do an U/S or can they just feel where the head is? Cause I never know if I am touching his head or his butt at the top of my belly :lmao: But I guess the dr. would know the difference.

She said that she could feel her head today when she did the internal exam.

I always thought I was rubbing her head, but we've been rubbing her butt for a while now. :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

I can't tell heads from butts either. :goodvibes But from the last couple of U/S's I know that both kids have been head down for at least the past 2 weeks, maybe longer. I agree butts feel very solid from the outside.

Congratulations mendy! Glad everything worked out ok!

Well, 2 more days for me. C-section is scheduled for 8 am Wednesday. I am a little nervous about the surgery (even though I have been through it before). Probably because I don't remember much about being in the hospital before - it's all kind of a blur.

On the topic of stretch marks, mine are really bad. All over my belly! I am surprised at the amount of marks considering I have only gained 13 lbs. Oh well, I didn't have a bikini body since my first daughter was born so no big change there.

Just got back from Cathy's OB appointment. Ultrasound #6 showed nothing eventful. Sarah apparently has come to terms with the fact that she isn't being paid to amuse us.

Congrats MMKK! I'm happy that after all that running around you have your little boy. I hope you are doing well. I hope to see some of the rest of you on the other thread soon! :goodvibes

I was always confused about which end was which but my dr told me the best way to tell is if the part you are pushing moves independtly from the rest of the body. So if you push on the head, the rest of the body doesn't move. If you push on the bottom, the whole body moves.

By kid #5, I've got the feet figured out and since they spend so much time in my ribcage these days, I'm hoping and guessing that she's head down now. My first internal is Thurs., and I will probably find out more by then.

That's so true! What a great trick!

That's good advice! Here's to hoping Jake is head down then...because every time I press down on that hard spot on the top of my belly I can feel him move around. That could also explain how come my hips and nether regions have been extra sore the last few weeks :scratchin

uneventful is pretty good. . . as long as she is ok, even if not entertaining :lmao:

Just got home... very long day!!!!

Went to Dr. at 10:45am. The Dr. office had me hooked up to a NST monitor for about an hour. Dr. was not seeing the spikes the were looking for. She then checked my cervic and said I was 5 cm. & 65 % efaced. She also did and ultrasound to check amniotic fluid which seemed ok. I then was told they wanted me to go to the hospital for additional NST monitoring and a biophysical profile just to be safe.

My SIL went to the hospital with me for the testing. DH's time at work is limited because he just started and really only has time for actual delivery.
Testing took some time and started off slow. My little girl is very stubborn, but showed more movement and spikes. Dr at the hospital said they could not have seen any better results, :woohoo: so no need to do the biophysical profiling. They did another ultrasound and checked my cervic again. I was released and told to call my Dr. to schedule next step.

I am "on call" for an induction between 7:30 - 12 tomorrow. My SIL is coming over to spend the morning with DS & I incase I get a call I need to be there immediately or could lose my spot. If I am not called by noon tomorrow, then I will be a priority induction on Wednesday.......ugh, frustrated a bit. Who knows there is still tonight.

Wow, Ann, 5cm!! Thats awesome!! :)

That on-call thing is weird to me, but I've read about it before. It's if they've got room, right? Something like that.

Anyway, wishing you luck and crossing my fingers for you!!

Yes, has to do with room. I am in #2 position they called it. Someone is in first position and it depends how long it takes them to deliver and if they go say tonight naturally instead of being induced then I get their slot.

So weird, confusing , and frustrating really.

Yep, :confused3 no contractions at all.

You're halfway there!!!!:cheer2:

Maybe you'll get lucky like me and go into labor the night before induction...oh wait, that's tonight...good luck!!!!! I think you and DH need some special "alone time";):woohoo:

I know it's frustrating, but I am thinking by the sound of things that whether you go naturally or by induction, your little girl will be here quickly once things get started. I'll think lots of 'contracting' thoughts for you tonight. (And check my email all day tomorrow to see if you've posted any news...)

Definitely!

My hospital only has 4 L&D rooms but my OB "reserved" one for me. I'd of only been bumped if someone else had gone into labor naturally to fill all 4 rooms.
Turns out I was up there with only 1 other lady (who I ended up waiting on her to get out of the OR so I could go in, go figure!)

Crazy how different things are EVERYWHERE!

Wishing you luck, can't wait to hear all about it!!

Hello everyone! We have been so busy the last week or so I haven't had time to check in! We got most of the nursery painted on Saturday, but those darn textured walls just drink paint, so we need another gallon to finish one wall and some touch up stuff.

My parents went with us to Babies-R-Us tonight to help us do the registry thing. First time Chris and I went we were so overwhelmed we didn't know what to do, tonight was better. My mom is a L&D nurse, and is great with babies, so she knew what to do, and between her knowledge and Chris with his consumer report book I think we got it mostly figured out.

We leave early on Wednesday morning for WDW, and I cannot wait! However, I feel there are a million things I need to do to get ready for the trip, and besides refilling a perscription and buying sunscreen can't think of what any of them are!

I'm hoping I will have some time tomorrow to catch up on the last weeks posts, but for tonight I think I am headed to bed!
