Well I had my anatomy scan today and you can add me to the Blue! team!! It's a Boy!! Which means my feelings and dreams were totally wrong, but I am thrilled with a boy! He's already taking after his father stubborn little thing. The tech needed him to roll over and no matter what he would not do it...just was not going to cooperate today :rotfl:. It' so nice to be able to put a name to the bump now and time to go shopping!!

pirate:Congratulations on your little man!!!pirate:

I loved having DS first. He is definitely a Momma's boy and loves to snuggle. You are going to love every second of the adventure!

-------

Still waiting for my little princess to make her appearance. Can't wait to see what Dr says today at my appointment. Should I just show up with my bag and refuse to leave till I have a baby in tow!!!:lmao:

Congrats on the little boy Kristen! I agree with Disney Ron, my son is such a snuggler and loves his mommy.

And now I guess I should test out my new skills on the list and update your status to blue!

Thanks for being keeper of the list once again :)

And thanks to Sarah for doing it during my duration!!!!!

Im confused, did something happen to Sarah that I missed?:confused3

I'm thinking Sarah just passed the list on to someone with a later due date the way Lisa passed it to her not long after I started posting here. Which means I've seen it change hands twice now and that *maybe* my time is getting a little closer. (My belly has suddenly popped WAY out there and I'm thinking things will never end. I'm 35 weeks today.)

I'm still here, but I've passed on the list keeping torch just in case.

I meant to officially do it yesterday, but life got in the way!

So everyone the new list keeper is boltfan!!!

You did a great job for your first try!!

Sarah - I hope these storms aren't hitting you too bad! They are just starting to hit my area pretty hard...

They almost completely missed us...there was a big red cell to the east and west, but nothing on us! :thumbsup2

My belly has majorly popped--I have some serious stretch marks now! :scared:

Speaking of stretch marks...

Those of you with stretch marks-- when did you first get them?

I definitely don't want them- although thats not something you can control. I was wondering around what week you ended up getting them (the first trace of them)? Midway through pregnancy, at the end?

Yep...my first one showed up right around 20 weeks and got darker here and there as I progressed. This last month I've gotten A LOT more--mostly right around my belly button--nothing on the sides...so no more bikinis for me...I think of them as war paint! :thumbsup2

It's good to be remembered!:goodvibes:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

You know you're getting close when it's time to pass on the torch! Hey Sarah...what library are you at?

My branch is probably safe, but I'm not sure about my job. I have the most seniorty in the position, but they could completely eliminate the position. I might have some leverage since I really only want to work part time once Lily gets here.

(For those of you not friends with me on Facebook--Ohio is about to effectively close half of the libraries (if not more) in the state)

That's horrible Sarah! Nothing like that is being talked about here, but we do have a huge problem. Our legislature hasn't agreed on a budget for the new fiscal year starting July 1! By law, schools and hospitals will keep going, but other state offices may be shutting down (like the highway patrol!)

I've seen a bit of this on your Facebook, but didn't read too much about it.

Do they have any sort of list on which ones might be closing? I don't use the library in my city, I use the one across the river in OH! :headache:

Wow, too bad about all the libraries closing. Seriously, that is a terrible thing to downsize on. Libraries offer so many great programs, and then of course just the resources available.

Maggimus, I developed stretch marks on my belly at about 34-35 weeks with my daughter. Maybe even 36 weeks. I was so mad cause she was only born a couple of weeks later and I lasted all that time with nothing, not one mark, then bam, a ton of them all at once. Then, after she was born, my swelling increased a ton (which is normal after delivery, a lot of women have water retention because it constricts the blood vessels, cutting down on how much you bleed, so a caveman survival method that hasn't totally gone away). Well, because of all that swelling, my thighs and calves got stretch marks! That really annoyed me cause I already had the baby and felt like I should have been safe. My legs were so huge though that I could barely bend my knee. None of that happened with my son though, so it's not like a given or anything(and interestingly, I had to get a shot to stop bleeding with him after he was born).

About passing the list, when I was on this thread with my son I had the list then too. I passed it around 35 weeks as well and good thing cause he was born at 36 weeks! Not that you want your baby to come that early, Sarah, but at least you know you're getting close!

Uggg, I already have some... I think they showed up at about 24/25 weeks. they are around my belly button. They are already fading away but I am sure some new ones will come to torture me!

I can't believe I am still in the middle of the list. It feels like I will be having a baby and day now but when you see it written out, nope.

Okay, left the Dr. office today a bit frustrated. Still holding at 4 cm. & 50% efaced. This Dr. said the head was not engaged yet. I go to a large practice and sometimes it feels like they all tell you diff. things. She had me on a monitor for 20 minutes due to being overdue. She commented how strong of a heartbeat the baby had. They are estimating the baby to be 8 lbs. The doctor stripped my membranes, so pray it makes something happen. (feeling crampy right now, but who knows)

So what is next. I have an appointment scheduled for monday at 10:45am. If I make it to then without the baby then they will induce me, most likely Tuesday at 41 weeks.

Thanks everyone for the stretch mark replies!!

This post scares me. I have kept my weight down low-- only gaining 10lbs in 29wks... so im hoping I dont swell up in the end. I still have some room in my belly. About once a week ill pooch my belly out further to see if i can get bigger without stretching and I still can.. so im hoping as long as I do that ill keep the stretch marks off my stomach. (My reasoning may be competely off-- and i wouldnt doubt it a bit).
I feel terrible that yours came in the end and you were able to keep them away that long. It just goes to show you that you cant control them... they will come if they want.
