Chapter 7: Babysitter? Babysitter!?! We dont need no STEENKIN Babysitter!!
Where were we? Oh yeah...We had just left the Voyage of the Little Mermaid.....
It was close to time for our ADRs at the 50's Prime Time Café, so we headed over there to check in. They sent us into the living room to wait for a little while, and we went to watch shots from old TVLand shows (Im too young for them to be from anything but TV land or Nick at Night...sue me).
While the kids were ensconced in front of the TV and HHBG and I were standing around waiting for a seat to open up, I started to look around....and began to see some things that both cracked me up and made me very uncomfortable....because, apparently, Disney bought my Grandmothers living room.....and my parents old books and put them into their living room. I needed some pics to show my folks....
See the white encyclopedias? Yeah. Theres a set in my house right now from my folks....and the Zebras...and the dancing people....I think Disney bought them from my grandmothers estate.....
We got seated relatively quickly and introduced to our babysitter whose name I forget. He was great. He took our drink orders first. HHBG and I both got Coke, Brianna ordered an apple juice, and then Spencer ordered a chocolate milk. Brianna then started crying that she wanted chocolate milk, too. The babysitter heard her and changed the order.
When he came back with the drinks, HHGB and I got our sodas. He then announced I have apple juice here! Raise your hands for apple juice!. The kids looked upset, but could see when he put the drinks down that they actually had chocolate milk. The babysitter took our orders and went off....
What we ordered:
Me: Pot Roast (according to Donald T Ducks TR, the ONLY thing to order here)
HHBG: fried Chicken
Both kids: hot dog, chicken noodle soup, fruit salad.
We had a TV at our table, so we watched some TV and waited for our food.
Som e guy offered tot ake our pic. I think the camera was on the wrong setting.
When the food came, Brianna looked straight at our babysitter and said to him HEY! My apple juice tastes like chocolate milk!!. LOL. So cute.
The rest of lunch was pretty uneventful. W ate our food (mine was the best!!), paid, and headed out. On our way out, I tried to give away our fast passes, but no one was interested, so we just took them with us. Oh well.
After leaving lunch, we decided to head out of the park. We had promised the kids we wold ge thtem hats, so we had to go on the mad hat quest. I am not going into the long boringness that ensued while my son had to looka t every single hat there, decided on the hat he already had at home, and finally decided ona aht he hasnt even looked at since. Bleh. He should have let me pick him out a hat. I would have at least picked one out that he could wear on rainy days to school under his hood.
Heres HHBG trying on a hat:
Brianna, of COURSE, picked the bride minnie ears. While she was picking out her ears, I decided I HAD to get a tee shirt I saw in the window. I wore it later that afternoon....
We then got ice creams, got enormously messy, cleaned off, and headed over to the busses to go back to the hotel and get cleaned up for dinner in Epcot.....
On the bus, mommy and daddy get silly:
Coming up: Will dinner live up to, or down to its reputation...and PEEPS!
