Mommy...Why does Crush talk like you? Final thoughts and summary 10/15

:woohoo: Those Cargoes are awesome... if it wasn't so hot in august I'd get myself some... but the lighter the pants the better

So what did Mickey leave as presents?????

How great to be bagless, going in August we always need a bag just for ponchos :rotfl:

Great job packing.

I don't like shorts a whole lot (thogh I just bought some to try again), so it is almost always pants for me. Those were good, though a little too long.

LOL. HHBg had his packable rainjacket. We just decided to chance getting wet.

Mickey left:

Brianna: Fairy figurines (1 a day)
Spencer: Animal figurines
Mommy: Stitch movie figurines
Daddy: babyish classic Disney movie figurines.

Just little stuff that could be shoved in a pocket. :)

Great job packing.

Thanks! Do you mean my suitcases or the CARGOES OF HOLDING +1??

CARGOES OF HOLDING+1, and packing bandaids.

CARGOES OF HOLDING+1, and packing bandaids.

If you knew my kids, you would not have been surprised. I actually had (in one pocket) a whole mini med kit in there. 5 different kinds of bandaids, alcohol and cleaning wipes, neosporin, med tape and gauze pads, pepto, ibuprofen, tylenol, advil cold and sinus, immodium, kids triaminic, kids benadryl, kids ibuprofin, kids tylenol, burn cream, bite cream, calamine lotion, cough drops, aloe, sunblock, bug wipes, female items, and lip balm.

Gotta love minimus.

That's why the cargoes got named the "CARGOES OF HOLDING +1"

:wave2:
HI! I am just sayin 'ello! Great to meet you! Will be back to catch up later....this is the FIRST time I am on since our meet....actully since wednesday morning!

:)
Kat

Great update.

I love the cargo pants. Must be nice to go bagless. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get any for the August trip. I'll be in shorts and skirts.

Great update!
Loving the cargo pants and the fact they hold everything!
No bag searches for you = extra time in the park = a great idea!!!

Up Soon: The Philly Guy and a Power Ranger

If the Philly Guy did anything bad or wrong...he is NOT related to me and not all Philly people are like that!!!! If he did something nice, it was my third cousin twice removed and all Philly people are like that!

Well, HHBG is on his Warcrack, so I am posting another chapter.

Chapter 6: The Philly Guy and a Yellow Power Ranger

So, we hopped on the bus to DHS. It wasn’t very crowded...I guess everyone had caught the bus before it. :confused3

We arrived at DHS at 8:50, right in time for the rope drop...but we detoured instead to Guest Services, so I could upgrade to an annual pass.....uh, and I forgot to put my ADR list in the CARGOES OF HOLDING +1, and forgot what time our lunch ADRs were. :rolleyes1

The guy at Guest services was very nice, if not SLOW. It took him fifteen minutes to upgrade my ticket to an AP, and for me to get a DDE card. He told me when the ADRs were, I thanked him profusely, we got the crazy children, and hoofed it over to the Tower of Terror.

Now some background:

Last year, when the kids were 3 and 4, Brianna, the THREE YEAR OLD got a tick into her head to ride the Tower of Terror. She had just ridden Star Tours, so we assumed she was tall enough. We waited in the line, went through the library scene, got all the way tot he front of the back line, and got stopped for a second measuring.....and she missed by about 1 millimeter. :headache:  Seriously, I couldn’t get my FINGERNAIL between her head and the measuring stick.

She was wearing very flat shoes. I tried to talk them into letting me in (I’m sure I was all over stupid guest tricks), but to no avail. She and I exited while HHBG and Spencer rode the ride. :headache: Brianna was in HYSTERICS. She so wanted to go on the ride. There was no calming her. It was bad. :sad2:

The whole rest of that trip,, we had to deal with Disney’s UNCALIBRATED measuring sticks. She was fine for BMTRR, Star Tours, Stitch, and Splash. Too short for Soarin’, Test Track, ToT, and Dinosaur. It was a pain. (Actually, she missed for Splash, but they let her on. SHHH)

When we got home, I emailed Disney, requesting that they have a measuring station at the front of the park with multi-colored wrist bands, so a kid could just get measured and show a wrist band that showed they were OK for that ride. Of course, they ignored me. :headache: Whatever. Just cause I’m SMART....:snooty:

ANYWAY! I digress....

So, this trip, the first thing we had to do was The Haunted Hotel (AKA Tower of Terror). Standby said 20 minutes, so we went for it. We ended up in line right in front of a guy from Philly. His family refused to go on the ride, so he was going alone. We talked with him while we were in line. I don’t really remember much about what we talked about, but he was nice. It made the line time seem non-existent....course it WAS only about 10 minutes.

Well, after the little library scene, both the kids seemed nervous, but they braved it out and rode. (You can’t see them in the pic...too short....I didn’t even redneck it).

Well, afterwards, Brianna wanted to go right back on. She LOVED IT! Spencer wasn’t so excited, and did not want to go back on. We got fast passes in case he changed his mind, and started wakling towards Star Tours.

We got some photopass pics (Which we should really check out and order),t hen headed over to Star Tours. Just as we got to Star Tours, Jedi academy was about to start. BUT the kids REFUSED to watch it. :headache: Whatever. We got on the ride quicker since everyone else was watching the little show.

Here are some pics from the line:

Kids liked Star Tours, and we were headed off to the MUPPETS!!

Now, I love me some Muppets. I grew up on them. I remember, the nights we could “stay up” were the nights the Muppet Show was on. We had to go to bed after it was over. One of my kids’ favorite “lullabies” is “manamana”....Just the thought of Beaker singing “feelings” cracks me up. I want the DVD sets of the old shows.

Unfortunately, my kids just don’t get it. :confused3 But we watched it for me.

Then, we went to wherever it is that the power rangers are. The kids had an argument over which power ranger to get a pic with, but the Yellow one was right there with very little line (and yellow is Brianna’s favorite volor this month), so we got a pic with the yellow Power ranger...then the power rangers had to go. :sad1:

One of My pics. The pic guy got mad I took pics, and didn’t take HHBG’s photopass card. :headache: Grr...

Ok another one...this is her posing the kids...so cute:

After the pics with the Yellow power Ranger, I admit we wandered aimlessly for a little while. We ended up on the Great Movie Ride, which was OK...probably will not be repeated.

Then we saw Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We were WAY off to the side, and barely got in. We enjoyed the show again, though it’s no Nemo. Ariel IS Brianna’s favorite, though.

After VoTLM, it was time for LUNCH!!

Coming Soon: Babysitter? Babysitter!?! We don’t Need no STEENKIN’ BABYSITTER!!

Whoo hoo... power rangers... our kids don't watch em but they sure love seeing them when we are at WDW hehe...

Star Tours is a blast :thumbsup2 Mini had the same problem last year w/ height... less than the width of a fingernail.. like 1/2 inch... it sucked.. and no matter what shoes she wore she still wasn't tall enough... but this year... 40inches already baby

OK, this wsn't in my notes, but I have a pic of it, and it jogged my memory. At some point, my kids got stickers from the DVC guys:

DSCN0952.jpg

Spencer gave me a sticker and kept one, then he gave the rest to Brianna.

BRianna suddenly became a dream team member. She gave a sticker tot he girls workign the doors at the Great Movie ride. She gave a sticker tot he little boy we were sitting with on that ride, she gave a sticker to a little girl we were waiting in line with for VOTLM.....and more people you will hear about int he next chapter. it was SOOOO cute. I can't believe I had forgotten about it. :sad2:

Hey there!

We were a DHS the same day as you. We were there with my extended family...all 24! I will laugh if I see any of them in the backround of your pics!:rotfl:

Glad the guy from Philly was nice...(whew..didn't want the rest of us getting a bad name:goodvibes )

:woohoo: :woohoo: That Brianna rode ToT. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Love your bracelet idea:thumbsup2 Too bad Disney won't listen:sad2: They actaully do this down in Wildwood. You can buy a bracelet for the night and the cost is based on height i.e 34 inches and under are the cheapest:thumbsup2

I love Brianna's dress.

Yeah, my kids don't watch either. :confused3

it was tough last year, because she made it on some but not others. It got to be a real pain.

Hi! I have been trying not to post too many pics of people I dont' know...since I don't have permission and all. We left DHS after lunch, too.

Oh, and WELCOME!

What a sweetie pie!! Honorary Dream Team girlie eh hehe how wonderful

It was so cute. she gave stickers to all the CMs she saw. Left a lot of love in her wake. Like I said, day 1 in the parks had an AWESOME start.

Yeah...they could avoid over-long lines by setting up the CMs at the "measuring" rides with bracelets for that height that they could give tot he kids who are "close" and make it.

ToT became her favorite ride. More on that later.

I love that just being there can bring out the good in children! That is great that they both shared the stickers! I so hope that my DS4 is tall enough for eveything he wants to ride but the family (my kids) decided they would not ride anything he can't ride. They decided that if he can't ride, then we can wait until next time! We shall see how that works!;)
