Well, HHBG is on his Warcrack, so I am posting another chapter.
Chapter 6: The Philly Guy and a Yellow Power Ranger
So, we hopped on the bus to DHS. It wasnt very crowded...I guess everyone had caught the bus before it.
We arrived at DHS at 8:50, right in time for the rope drop...but we detoured instead to Guest Services, so I could upgrade to an annual pass.....uh, and I forgot to put my ADR list in the CARGOES OF HOLDING +1, and forgot what time our lunch ADRs were.
The guy at Guest services was very nice, if not SLOW. It took him fifteen minutes to upgrade my ticket to an AP, and for me to get a DDE card. He told me when the ADRs were, I thanked him profusely, we got the crazy children, and hoofed it over to the Tower of Terror.
Now some background:
Last year, when the kids were 3 and 4, Brianna, the THREE YEAR OLD got a tick into her head to ride the Tower of Terror. She had just ridden Star Tours, so we assumed she was tall enough. We waited in the line, went through the library scene, got all the way tot he front of the back line, and got stopped for a second measuring.....and she missed by about 1 millimeter.
Seriously, I couldnt get my FINGERNAIL between her head and the measuring stick.
She was wearing very flat shoes. I tried to talk them into letting me in (Im sure I was all over stupid guest tricks), but to no avail. She and I exited while HHBG and Spencer rode the ride.
Brianna was in HYSTERICS. She so wanted to go on the ride. There was no calming her. It was bad.
The whole rest of that trip,, we had to deal with Disneys UNCALIBRATED measuring sticks. She was fine for BMTRR, Star Tours, Stitch, and Splash. Too short for Soarin, Test Track, ToT, and Dinosaur. It was a pain. (Actually, she missed for Splash, but they let her on. SHHH)
When we got home, I emailed Disney, requesting that they have a measuring station at the front of the park with multi-colored wrist bands, so a kid could just get measured and show a wrist band that showed they were OK for that ride. Of course, they ignored me.
Whatever. Just cause Im SMART....
ANYWAY! I digress....
So, this trip, the first thing we had to do was The Haunted Hotel (AKA Tower of Terror). Standby said 20 minutes, so we went for it. We ended up in line right in front of a guy from Philly. His family refused to go on the ride, so he was going alone. We talked with him while we were in line. I dont really remember much about what we talked about, but he was nice. It made the line time seem non-existent....course it WAS only about 10 minutes.
Well, after the little library scene, both the kids seemed nervous, but they braved it out and rode. (You cant see them in the pic...too short....I didnt even redneck it).
Well, afterwards, Brianna wanted to go right back on. She LOVED IT! Spencer wasnt so excited, and did not want to go back on. We got fast passes in case he changed his mind, and started wakling towards Star Tours.
We got some photopass pics (Which we should really check out and order),t hen headed over to Star Tours. Just as we got to Star Tours, Jedi academy was about to start. BUT the kids REFUSED to watch it.

Whatever. We got on the ride quicker since everyone else was watching the little show.
Here are some pics from the line:
Kids liked Star Tours, and we were headed off to the MUPPETS!!
Now, I love me some Muppets.

I grew up on them. I remember, the nights we could stay up were the nights the Muppet Show was on. We had to go to bed after it was over. One of my kids favorite lullabies is manamana....Just the thought of Beaker singing feelings cracks me up. I want the DVD sets of the old shows.
Unfortunately, my kids just dont get it.

But we watched it for me.
Then, we went to wherever it is that the power rangers are. The kids had an argument over which power ranger to get a pic with, but the Yellow one was right there with very little line (and yellow is Briannas favorite volor this month), so we got a pic with the yellow Power ranger...then the power rangers had to go.
One of My pics. The pic guy got mad I took pics, and didnt take HHBGs photopass card.

Grr...
Ok another one...this is her posing the kids...so cute:
After the pics with the Yellow power Ranger, I admit we wandered aimlessly for a little while. We ended up on the Great Movie Ride, which was OK...probably will not be repeated.
Then we saw Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We were WAY off to the side, and barely got in. We enjoyed the show again, though its no Nemo. Ariel IS Briannas favorite, though.
After VoTLM, it was time for LUNCH!!
