1. good service would have gotten you another plate of meat.
2. Good service would've gotten you drink refills
3. Good service would've gotten you more of the sides you liked
4. Good service would've gotten you your check quickly.

You still may have not enjoyed the meat, but your opinion of the restaurant may have turned out much different.

Man that sucks about WCC! We had a great time there...and we were stuck in the back and i thought we'd get ignored. I guess it comes down to the server, we had an awesome one. I would have gone to the manager when you never saw the waitress for drink refills! Did you guys do the DDP, I can't remember...if you did...I bet you didn't tip!

We were on the "cash" plan.

And we didn't tip.

Refillable mugs...best thing EVER. Well, mabe not, but they were awesome.

The parks had their ups and downs, but the first day had an unforseen awesome start that kind of made my trip.....

My WCC Review - 0 stars, $0.20 tip

Calling this dinner 'bad' would be an overstatement...

I'll start this off by saying that I really wish that I had ordered food at the counter service place - WCC was HORRIBLE. It goes down into the worst dining experiences ever nudging up to that hole in the wall diner in NYC with roaches crawling on the walls.

The meat was truly bad. Kind of like really tough jerky without any taste. I swear that my shoes would taste better. Inedible. The microwave ribs I get at the supermarket are *so* much better. And I won't even make a comparison to a real BBQ place - this stuff wasn't even remotely similar to what they would serve at any self respecting place.

The sides were OK. I don't really have a good reference point for them, but when you are hungry and the alternative is the meat, the vegatables start looking real good.

After the kids left, I put my feet up on another chair and made myself comfortable. Downloaded and started playing (loud) video games on my phone. Almost walked out of the restraunt...

I would have given no tip, but I worried that the waitress would think I was one of those penny pinching people with an aversion to tipping. While we never picked up the DDE card until the next morning (it adds in an 18% gratuity automatically), I would have had to keep it in my pocket to add the token $0.20 tip.

Luckily, things did get better...

My father, when I was growing up was a huge Arsenal fan. I, being a troublemaker, decided to root for Liverpool, since, in the mid-eighties, it was always Liverpool and Arsenal fighting it out for the cup. this is Pre-Beckham! (I knew who he was before he married Posh Spice, too). My mom is a Man-U Fan....for Rinaldo.

That's how I became a Red Wings fan, too. my brother, for some reason, was a huge Blackhawks fan (I grew up on Long Island, and my father is an Islanders fan). Since the Red Wings were the blackhawks biggest rivals, I became a red Wings fan.

The guy with my FAVORITE NAME growing up was Burrachaga from Argentina's world cup team. (I probably spelled his name completely wrong). We used to watch world cup soccer on the spanish channel here, Univision...it was the only channel that got it. lol.

Funny story!

I blogged about soccer through the whole world cup. I used to play, ref, and coach soccer. I played soccer in college. I watch TAPE for soccer, lol. I know soccer.

ANYWAY, some British guy took offense that some ignorant GIRL from the US would have the nerve to say anything about Football (soccer), as sport she obviously knew nothing about, and started flaming my blog....he was also a huge Arsenal fan..... I schooled him badly. Nothing like a chick spewing technical soccer jargon at you, and proving she knows what she's talking about...

I never had as many hits to my blog as I did for the two weeks following that blog.....I ended up taking it down, it caused such a stir. I felt bad, because he had posted using his real name and email, and apparently he was really being ragged in the UK by his mates.

Arsenal fan....

BIL is a Chelsea fan. He lives near their stadium. He wo't talk to me right now.

Good thing the game is now....otherwise work would have shut down for the day there.....can't wait to see what happens forthe final...too bad it's in Moscow.

Dude.....the sides were edible, and the beans and salad were downright good....I was worried about severe gastro-intestinal consequences after that diner we took your folks to. Think Anthony Bourdain in Namibia....

The waitress sucked, though. I would have walked to the podium and purposely LOUDLY asked for someone to pay since we hadn't seen the waitress in forever. I did loudly tell the kids we were going elsewhere for dessert since the waitress had disappeared...

Ours was Candi Cane - and she was basically useless!! Never around, sooooo slow!! When we were waiting for dessert, she was coloring! Just wondering if we had the same person...
