Ok normally I would not write a review about a short trip like this but thought some things might be useful and almost never is there a report with young kids in mind so here goes..

Well We are florida residents live about 1 hour from the parks and have disney passes. The boys are really too young to make it worth the universal passes over the disney passes right now but soon..
Anyway I am off work for the next few weeks and so I decided it woould be a great time to take the boys for a quickie while it was still cool and park was not crowded Gramma agreed to come also so we would have an even number to ride stuff.
Ok got up BLAH BLAH BLAH... the usual and were on our way traffic was surprisingly well and we made it to universal by 8:30.. NOTE** I left a little early because the walk from the parking lot to the actual park enterance is LONG for little ones and GRAMMAS (especially on the walk back) so if you are with little ones keep that in mind.. we made it to the park at exactly 9 and paid to get in..(no discounts or anything for a 1 day pass for florida res ) The lady who sold us the ticket did say to us that there was not alot for us to do in the park for little ones and i said we knew and paid.. no biggie on the money for us...
so in we went.
First stop SUESS LAND
we rode cat in the hat, the caruasel, one fis two fish, 2 times each then we were off to FLING UNICORN becuase it was not crowded (empty actually) they let us ride it lots of times (you only need to step off and wait 1 turn) we did not even have to walk around again just waited there.. so we rode it until gramma said THATS ENOUGH
and then we were off to
JURASSIC PARK
we rode the dinosaur water ride 2 times and the pteredactol flyers 1 time..
NOTE*** no other ride in the park had more than a 10 m inute wait except teh FLYERS which had a 45 minute wait..we lucked out and only had about 10-15 minutes wait when we got there but when going to do it again it had been moved to 45 minutes..
here is another NOTE** for parents.. I had planned on this being a place where we would take a break drink a coke and let the boys play but it is very hard to keep up with them in there and if you pick a spot you cnnot see them while they are playing and they can get lost themselves.. my boys are experienced theme park kids and travelers (we do disney every weekend) and dad is a pilot so we do airports al the time..
and my 6 year old knows to always wiat for his brother but they both came down after 6 minutes of frantic searching by me and gramma and hearing them saying they did not know which way to goo.. my oldest said he did not want to go back up it was to confusing!!
ok so it was only 10:40 YES we did all this in only 1 hr 40 minutes!!! I did say the park was empty and we were only doing the kid stuff right!!!
so we had lunch at dino digs NOTE*** 1 chicken meal is more than enough for 2 kids to share!!!!
we ran downstairs to see a dino being HATCHED (surprisingly my 4 yr old who loves dinos did not want o see it being hatched NO WAY!! ( ithnk that made it more real than he wanted it to be)
so we then retraced our steps in this order
flying unicorn
one fish 2 fish,
pictures with suess charcacters
suess carousel
cat in the HAT
15 minutes of pure HE%% in the little playground there that has water!!!!! my 4 year old just ran in shoes and all!!! before i could catch him!!!
we then hit icecream cones and sat and watched the hulk coaster a few minutes then we left gramma who was exhausted and hit our last ride the PLUTO RAPIDS GOT soaked past back by spider man asked if they wanted to ride and got a huge NO!
NOTE** my kids love coaters but have a real hard time with 3 d tings spider man, bugs life etc... but they did fit the height requirement so first time parents be warned just becuas ethey reach teh height they may npot be ready I told my boys straight up what was gonna happen on the ride and they decided on there own not to do it! SHUCKS!! ireally wanted to do it but oh well!!!
we began the long walk back to the exit (we sent gramma along earlier cause she was pooping out but found her just outside the park at JIMMY BUFFETS IN A LOUNGER!! should have known! HA!
the boys were already drenched so i let them play a few minutes in the fountain in front that shoots water then we began the long trek to the car!!! last stop potty right befor the garage and then we were on our way home by 1:10!!! at home cooling of in the pool by 2:15!!
so in short it was a great quick trip spent alot of money for just a few rides but it was worth it to see them smile!!!
