Mom VS Short shorts on dd UPDATE pg 3

I buy a lot of my shorts from Lands End catalog. I also used to love wearing dockers shorts but I can't find them in my size to often.

For jeans - usually end up in the boys department - and if we get lucky can find slim talls - or just the talls

Stay strong, moms. If we don't buy them, they will quickly go out of fashion. I say we join forces! Make a stand! Parents Against Naked Teens! Join PANTS today!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

Right on mama!:p LOL

Ooooh boy am I glad I don't have to deal with the clothes buying for teenage girls thing anymore.  I'm completely apalled at what I see young girls wearing these days. They really do look like hookers. Geesh !!!!

Here in the V.I., most of the young West Indian girls have the "J-Lo butt" thing happening and there are some serious cheeks being flashed. I'm surprised that there haven't been more car accidents caused by these girls when they're walking down the streets. Yikes !!!!

:smooth: :smooth:

I bought my DD's shorts at the Gap. They had a few pair that were about 3". Better than 1" anyway.

I just got back from WDW and there were a lot of teenagers there. I was absolutely shocked with the little amount of clothes I saw on teenaged girls. Old men were tripping over people to look at cleavage.

I thank God for my very modest 14 year old.

My DD is 11. I know all her shorts from last summer (that I got on clearance trying to guess-timate her size last year for this year!) are not going to fit! She went from a size 10 to size 14...never stopping at a 12! She has 'discovered' the joy in clothes shopping...no more just picking them out without having her with me! :bounce: Should make for an interesting experience! :earseek: She also has the long legs and slender waist. Until she got hips, I always had to buy slim pants! Now her hips hold them up!

Maybe I should just make a glass of kahula and cream and sit her down on the computer with me and try Lands End!!!:p Unless, of course, someone here wants to volunteer to take her shopping for me! ;)

My daughter is of the long legged kind. We buy levi's and pants from a store called Hot Topics. They are more the alternative kinds, but they are plenty long enough.

Dan beat me to it but it's sad how the clothing industry takes them from young women to call girl in one swoop.

I even noticed when my DD when from 6X into the 7-8 stuff. Yikes! Pass the Valium!
