"Mom, this is like a whole new Disney!" New 7/30 - pg 43 - Final Thoughts & PTR Link

These were taken on my phone so they aren't great, but here are a few pictures from our camping weekend.

At the campground, right in front of our campsite... Zach playing in the river:

The boys were so excited to ride the log ride on their own:

Hope you all enjoyed the 4th... and continue to do so today. Tim has an extra day off today for the long holiday weekend. :goodvibes We took the two grandmother's out with us to see fireworks last night. Alex (who always wakes up around 6am) is still asleep! (It's 9:00! Don't worry I checked... he's breathing.)

:lmao: I check to make sure Connor is still breathing, too, when he sleeps late.

Great pictures from camping and Storyland! Looks like you had a a lot of fun at both places!

Alex has decided that he wants to learn how to ride his bike without training wheels! Finally! He hasn't had any interest until recently... I've noticed him watching other kids his age, and much younger, on their bikes a lot lately.

Good luck on the bike! My youngest was that way. He swore he "couldn't do it" and whined and cried. Then the neighbor girl across the street (and a year behind him in school) started riding her bike without training wheels. :scared1: That was all the motivation he needed. They took the wheels off, he got on, and off he went - just that simple. :sad2: No girl was gonna show him up :rolleyes1

:rotfl: No worries... he was alive. He woke up around 9:30. We had a lot of fun on both excursions, but the kids might be outgrowing Story Land. :sad2:

I think the fact that he realized Zach rides without training wheels (and he's three years younger) really motivated him. ;)

I love long updates! Thanks Amy. :) On our 2006 trip, we were with a bigger group and it was tough sometimes! I would have been irritated as well. Sorry you all had such problems just finding lunch.

Awesome updates Amy!! Chef Mickey's looked like a lot of fun, sorry about the stomach problems, it's not any fun on vacation! I love all the WS pics with the boys! I really wish we made more time to get to WS with the kiddos this trip, it is a definite thing for our next Disney adventure!!

So glad you ended up choosing BWI for your fall trip!! We REALLY liked the look of it while we were on the boat from DHS to BC this past trip. BWI looks amazingly beautiful, I am sure the room/bed situation will be fine!!!

Fun update! Looks like a good trip.

Eric is in the same boat on the bike. Our challenge is not only is his bike too small for him, Evan's is to small for Evan meaning that we really need not one, but TWO new bikes before he can go without those wheels.

I've been looking, albeit not hard, online but they are at that tween size where the kids bikes are too small, and finding a decent mens small bike at a reasonable price becomes very difficult!

Yes, big groups can definitely present challenges. :rolleyes1 We're looking forward to a nice small group next time. By the way, I finally caught up on your TR today. You must have finished it while I was taking a little break at the end of the school year.

What are the dates of your fall trip? Based on your ticker, it doesn't look like we'll overlap, but I'm curious about your plans. :goodvibes

Yes - I know your a fan of BWI... I saw that you had posted a couple times on the BWI FAQ. ;) I'm really excited to stay there!! I feel really lucky that we found such a great deal!!

I highly recommend doing the masks with your kids - I think they'll enjoy it and you'll get a good look at the different countries. :thumbsup2

We had a hard time finding Alex's current bike - we had to buy the training wheels separately... and they were difficult to put on. Good Luck to you & Eric with your bike issues!

I'm coming in super late on Friday 9/24 and leaving early morning on Tuesday 9/28. Quick trip but that's all the longer I can be away from my babes. How about you?? :goodvibes

How's the weather? I'm guessing it will be similar to late April/early May when we usually go. Maybe a tiny bit warmer.

I hope you & Matt get to stay at BWV next year. I'll take lots of pictures for you.

Don't worry the trip makes a turn for the best soon. Lots of good stuff still to come. :goodvibes

I'm bummed we'll just miss each other. It would have been fun to meet up for a short while. :goodvibes

That would have been fun! Where are you staying?

Yes, the weather is hot & humid, but it is not as bad as the summer of course. It is not as crowded as in the summer. I remember many trips of the parks not being too crowded late at night(extra magic hours). Just remember to check the calendar of the week you are going to see what attractions that they may close to refurbish(if any). It's a good time to go

Okay Amy, all caught up now! (Again!) first, b/c it is fresh in my mind, WE were out camping for the 4th, and so I know you didn't go over the 4th, but it made me laugh how families with boys tend to make that a common getaway... I know families with girls camp too, but with boys, it is kinda a given

On to this TR/PTR!

SOOOOO happy for you that you get to try out the BW! That is funny how you started with a value to Moderate, then from POR to BW!! You are very convincing!!

The update about Epcot had me totally understanding your lament. I felt that a little at Christmas, but at least my DBIL and his pal are flexible and didn't really care what we did in the park. But missing the morning rides, to be caught up in the lines and the "THEM" as TG Mike says, really gets me off balance. I don't have to make it on all the rides everytime and I don't race around to do that, but I have to have a plan or at least an idea of what to do while there when we start. And yes, eating by noon is a MUST!

It does look like the kids really enjoy the KidCot stations. Mine were just not interested, they were more interested in KP and in looking inside the pavilions. I still have not had my time with WS. I really feel I need to justify a solo trip for that reason!!! :)

SOME day.

Anyhow, hopefully after lunch things were better! :thumbsup2

Love all the updates!! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad you decided on BWI -- I can't wait to hear all about it and see your pictures! :goodvibes

Momof2Disneyboys- We plan on staying at a different resort on every trip. Which one did you prefer best out of CBR, CSR or POR. Thanks.:confused3
