Mom/Daughter Trip to MK & Wonder Cruise 3/12/09: TR starts on page 4

So we arrive at port about 11am. We got boarding pass #9. We got our boarding photos taken and found a seat. Soon after, we see Goofy, then Mickey come out for photos.

So after we took our photos, we lounged around a few more minutes and they called our number. So we headed to the entrance. Once through the Mickey ears, they took our "welcome aboard" photo.

Notice DD has her Disney World shirt on AGAIN. She loved it, and HAD to wear it on the cruise.

Great report so far. Love all the pics, the one of your DD on the beach is gorgeous. I have a strange question...I noticed the green Avon mickey bag in your bag choices and just had to ask. I sell avon (just basically to myself,lol) and I ordered the small one that is like a purse and was really contemplating getting that one for our disney trips but wasn't sure how I'd like it. Do you like it? Is it fairly roomy/have pockets? Thanks for letting me ask such a weird question. Can't wait for more pics, we're doing our first cruise in Oct.

My sister sells Avon. She gets me all the Mickey Avon stuff. That particular bag seems to be really too small. For me, it doesn't "fit" around my shoulder.
Maybe it's made mostly for teens or smaller people. It is great, though, for carrying on medicines, etc. I actually took my purse and the little blue bag for our medicines and carry on stuff.

So at 1:30 sharp, they let us into our rooms. We, along with about 4 or 5 others, were waiting at the entry way to the rooms, kinda like rope drop!

We went into our room and loved it! I booked a cat 12, but was upgraded to a cat 11. We were in room # 7623. When I booked this cruise, I asked the CM that made the reservation if I could request the bed be divided into two twin beds. When we got to our room, the bed was still one bed, not two. So after a few minutes, our room steward came in & introduced himself (Freddy), and we chit chatted for a few minutes. I told him that I needed the beds separated. He tried to talk me into keeping the big bed together & just using the couch bed. I didn't want to do that, so he said he would have it separated at turn down service (which he did). So here are some pics of it before & after the separation into twin beds.

That's what I thought, too. Even though at first, I thought he was implying that he thought I was too big to sleep in the twin bed!

I was anxious to find "secet deck 7" after learning about it on the Dis, so after we spend a little time in the room, we decide to go check it out. The deck was right down the hall from our room, maybe 4 or 5 rooms down. I spent a good bit of time during the cruise there. It was like having our own deck, because out of every time I went out there, only twice was there anyone else out there!!!

After the lifeboat drill. We "high tail" it back to our room to drop the life jackets off and get to the Sailaway party to get a good viewing spot. I had already planned to watch it from deck 10 (Thanks again to Dis for the tips!).

After the party, we head back to our room to get ready for the first show, The Golden Mickey's. Since we had second seating, our showtime was at 6:15pm. The first night, our dinner assignment was Triton's. So we went to the show, then got some pics with the characters that were out & about, then it was time for dinner. Our dinner times were at 8:15pm, which meant we were not done until about 9:45. It's really a long time to spend on eating when there's lots of other things to do! So we didn't attend the last night's dinner, which was the parrot dinner (can't think of correct name). As long as I got to go to Animator's Palate, I would be happy, which was the second night.

Oooh, the Golden Mickeys look awesome. Believe it or not, we missed it on both our cruises! After seeing your pics, I hope that we can definitely catch it this time around!

I don't know why, but I didn't really take many pictures at Triton's. I'm surprised because I'm such a picture freak!!!
