See, I told you I'd check yours out! I'm definitely subscribing. I haven't been a Disney Cruise kinda person...always thought it was way too expensive. I am now dying to go! I'm glad you pointed me your way.

Your daughter is beautiful. I wish I had that relationship with mine! Granted, mine is 15 (on Monday), but I think we lost that sometime around 11. I am very jealous. I'm just patiently waiting for the day the aliens return my DD back to me and take away this creature they've left for the last few years.

I love dolphins and really enjoyed seeing the excursion pics. That was so cool! I can't wait to hear about your last night.

Thanks! We've been on Carnival & Royal Caribbean cruises, and I never thought I'd be able to afford a Disney Cruise. But I found our deal for $772 total for both of us & couldn't pass it up. Just a weekend trip to the beach would be at least $500.

Those photopass pics are awesome. I love all the new borders that you can add now! My faves are the one of your DD and Pooh, and the black and white one of the two of you in front of the castle. They all turned out really well!

We didn't go to Six Flags last weekend because of the storms & tornados in the area. I think your area was hit too, wasn't it?

Yes, we had some pretty bad storms here. It got pretty darn scary a few times. Thankfully everything was okay. Maybe y'all will get to make it there before long.

OK, trying to get caught up a little bit.
So now we're back on board. We are tired! And me, sunburned as usual. It didn't help that I had already a little burn from MK before our cruise. So we both agreed that we didn't really want to get "dressed up" that night for dinner, or a show, or anything! We took our showers and freshened up.

The last night, we opted to skip the dinner & go to the later show. We went to deck 9, ate some burgers, and hung out for a while until the show.

Tonight would be the Dreams show. I loved it!! I had tears in my eyes when it was over!!

Just outside the theater, we saw Mickey & Minnie in their formal outfits. Uh Oh, we were not dressed up. I asked DD if she wanted to run back to the room & put on our outfits & she said she was too tired and didn't want to go all the way back to the room, change, miss getting a good seat, and possibly missing Mickey & Minnie when we got back. OK, I see your point. So we get our pics with them anyway.

So this is the last night of the cruise. After the show, we strolled around the ship & got our last fix of that DCL ice cream! DD was really tired by then & wanted to get back to the room & crash.

I wandered around a little bit, went to Shutters to make sure I got all the pics I wanted, and made my way to "Till we meet again". I watched from above, since I was by myself. I was really teary eyed watching all those little ones interacting with the characters. I guess because I think back to when my DD was little, we really couldn't afford to do a lot, and I wish I could have taken her to WDW or DCL at that early age. Now that she's older we do a lot together, but I always wish I could have seen her as a little one experiencing the magic and the excitement of Disney. Don't get me wrong, though, she really loves everything Disney now, but I just think back sometimes, to the time I was struggling and could never afford to go to WDW.

Thanks for a great trip report. Don't feel badly that you weren't able to take her to WDW when she was little, it truly doesn't matter. You obviously have a wonderful relationship and share great times, so no matter what you did in the earlier years, you did it together.

Our youngest child is adopted, we met and adopted her when she was 8, almost 9. She had none of the early-year experiences that our other kids had, but we've made great memories since she has joined us. Would I have loved to see her as a toddler with the characters?. Sure- but for me, like you, it wasn't possible (for different reasons, but the end result is the same). How many kids have had a dream come true like your DDs dolphin experience? I'd guess not so many. You are obviously a loving and devoted Mom - that's what will be remembered long after the specific event memories fade. Happy Mother's Day and thanks again for a great TR !

Awww, I can't believe you've already made it to "that" part of the report. Isn't that banner one of the saddest sights ever? I always tear up when I see it.
I've really enjoyed reading your report. I hope you get to take another trip soon just so that we can read about it!
