Mom & Dad's "Hi-Fi"

Anyone else remember a "Hi-Fi" when they were growing up? My Dad loved his record player - and it was a real piece of furniture. Mom says it's blonde maple. It's been in my sister's garage for years. I want to put it in our house (DH says "WHERE?!") My Dad had stereo speakers put in it many years ago. We have tons of LPs to play on it. And Mom & I could listen to my Dad's old Montavoni & Billy Vaughn records (when no one else is home, of course!)
Just waxing nostalgic here.

13th birthday got a HI FI.....it was awesome.....I have probably 50 albums that I love......and no one touches them...NO ONE.......especially my meatloaf one that came back to me last year after being missing for over 15 years.....my neighbor had it......that is my most favorite record......

My sister and I got a portable Hi Fi for Christmas 1966. We had loads of LPs. I still have about 50 LPs that I can't part with, my sister thinks I'm silly
