Mom Claims Pluto Hurt her Kid

It is possible the kid is physically distressed, but I don't think Pluto is the culprit. Step back and look at it from a bigger picture.

The family is at a giant amusement park and they are walking longer distances than they would on an average day and standing in lines for long periods of time. To anyone who has worked a job on their feet for most of the day, you would know that your standing posture is super important in how your back feels at the end of the day. Hell, even people with desk jobs can suffer if they are not sitting in their seat properly either! The boy's back may be hurting because he isn't conscious of how he's standing and is inadvertently hurting his back slowly.

There is also a lot of sweets, treats, and candies sold at theme parks, conveniently located and placed close together to entice guests and make sales. The average kid will ask for an ice cream on a warm, sunny day while at a park, or something else that is covered in sugar. Handing a bag of gummy worms to a kid and losing track of when you last had "proper" food is the beginning of a road to a possible tummy ache.

Judging by the shadows on the ground, how short they are, and how bright it is in the video, it appears that the event took place an hour or so after midday, so maybe 2 pm? Most families get to the parks early to try and beat the rush, yes? So the kid has been on his feet for hours and most likely has eaten candy at the parks. It could just be the (ironic) vacation stress that comes to doing activities that are not part of your routine. I'm sure his emphatic hug with Pluto didn't help, but Pluto is not the cause of the boy's pain. But just to clarify, this is my hypothesis and just my guess as to what is going on.

@NobleAlyssum I totally Agree. Pluto may have aggravated something but I didn't see anything that would have (in itself) CAUSE this.

Additionally, the report was that the boy suffered "severe muscle strain" which could have been a result of, as you say, walking around all day.

I think Mom is just taking an opportunity to see how big the Disney Pockets are and trying to cash in.

Should Disney pay for the hospital bill as they offered? Yeah, maybe. Should there be some re-reimbursement for the inconvenience? Possibly. Should they become millionaires? Absolutely not. Not unless they could establish that Pluto was THE cause and that the damage was severe.

Crackerjack writer for TMZ says "The boy begins to cry almost immediately, saying he's in pain."

Uh. no, clear edit, different location, way to go on making it sound worse that is actually seen. How 'bout you find out and report the facts instead.

That's what real journalists do....TMZ is nothing more than the Enquirer of television.

I can imagine that it could have hurt but there would be no way I would even consider suing for that. Poor Pluto, it was not intentional. No if Pluto chased my kid down and knocked him to the ground, that would be a different story lol

I've always wanted to know the real story behind that Pluto chases kid video. I don't think that woman (was she the kid's grandmother?) should have pushed the CM causing him/her to miss the curb and fall.

I never take these videos with much faith..............They all always seem to be selectively set up with many *editing breaks*. This one is a perfect example, with *MOMS* leading questions.
