Mold in the BWV elevator

After reading Captain Midnight's comments on the BWV vs. BCV. debate, I realized that it is not only me who is ticked by the mold where the floor meets the wall in the Boardwalk Villas Elevator. This is not even a new issue. I have been a member for almost 5 years now and I noticed it first in a visit in 2001. I figured they'd take care of it...but no.

I know it might be a small detail, but on a second thought, we do pay high dues, and BWV is a deluxe resort, and small details like that somehow take away from the whole "deluxe" idea.

Besides, how expensive or complicated can fixing such a thing be?

I agree. There is no excuse for mold. It kind of baffles me though, as I am sure the elevator has been cleaned in the last three years.

Anyway, could you point me in the right direction for the thread you refer to?

I have been going to the BWV every year, and the mold in the line where the floor meets the wall (along with peeled wall paper) has not been taken care of...and i f it has, it has not been done efficieently becasue it has been there year after year. . That is not to say that the BW elevator is dirty...by no means..it is not, and that is why I can't understand why nothing has been done about the issue. SUre..there is lots of traffic, luggage carts, groceries, children with food, etc. But still. Next time ytou go there...just make sure you see it.

They mentioned in the BWV annual meeting in December that they were going to replace/renovate the elevators.

WHen I was at BWV in January they had one elevator shut down and were replacing the siding in it- would that make a dofference?

Those are great news. Guess next December when I go it will not be an issue anymore.

Just there in Jan.. and we saw evidence of some work being done to the elavators ................
