I just want to say that if you see the bartender using a syrup in a mojito, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is a "mojito mix." It could very well be a simple syrup (sugar and water boiled until sugar dissolves) which is called for in many drink recipes and used at many high end establishments.
When I see the mix bottle and know it's one that I've used at home myself (and dislike), I know it's a mojito mix.
Speaking of mojitos ... as we have been ... I had the *best* mojito at Bahama Breeze on Friday night (after reading about mojitos, I just had to go ...) Our waitress' shift was over after taking our order, and our appetizers arrived before the mojitos. We asked our new waitress if she could check on our drinks -- and subsequently, we got the mojitos on the house!
