My issues with Pop this time were that they lost our luggage and blamed it on the airline. The next day almost 24 hours later it showed up with no message or apology just a tag that showed it was misdirected to the wrong Disney resort. They also gave away our case of water to another family by accident. The guy tried to say it got damaged but when I asked if any bottles were salvagable he told me the truth about it being missing and probably given to the wrong family. Then the same night they accidentally shut off our cards so that it took a half hour extra at Ohana's for them to call the front desk at Pop and get them to let us use our dining credits without having to pay cash instead.
Then to add insult to injury every morning that they washed the pool deck at 8:30am they put the power washer that sounds like a jet engine 3 feet from our room window. We are not early morning people we are late nighters. It especially didn't make me happy the morning we were up till 3am the day we were leaving and had a long travel day ahead of us. I called and asked them nicely if they could move it. They blamed it on another department but promised to have them move it away from our window. 15 minutes later I called back to tell them it was still blasting away and I was told it was a completely different department but they would take care of it. Another 15 minutes later I asked nicely to speak to a manager who then told me it was a completely different department and he would come out and take care of it personally. I asked him to please come to my room and hear what it sounds like in the room. He never showed up and the thing pounded away for 1 1/2 hours before I gave up and left the room.
Given all our less than magical experiences I feel it is a sign that it is time to try a new resort in a room that is not prefered where they don't need to power wash right outside our door. lol
I can say that when we were at Pop in August our experience was nothing less than wonderful with no problems at all and the best mousekeeper in the world. So I know great stays are possible.

Oh yeah forgot about the couple of 50 minute waits for the busses we had. Thank goodness we were in good company for one of them and the time flew by. Then there were several waits a bit over 30 minutes. The majority were 20 minutes or less however. I just never waited so long for busses there before so it was surprising. I wonder if they were short staffed after the college kids went back to school or something.

Ok... I hope what ever bad omen I have ended last night.... my life for the past 12 days... rocky start for vacation... lost camera at HM Tuesday... fell flat on my face... sprained knee and end up in the ER while on vacation... delayed flight and did not get home till 1Am .. and Last night !!!!!!!!!!! I sat on my cell phone... did not realize as I was texting got up let it rest on ther chair walked away... a code came from downstairs needed access to nearest pc.... phone was pn chair.. sat on it and now in 2 pieces I mean the keys still light up but since the other half is not attached... I cant see or hear anything... no I wonder why.... Sooooooooo I am just waiting for 9AM and I will have to run to verizon.. I called last night and they said the only way I can get a replacement is by mail since they are out of stock for this phone in my area but I am still going to try.... I feel like a part of me is missing..

I got food posioning at Coral Reef a couple of days before I left so I was sick and the trip home with 60mph winds coming into my home town airport wasn't good.

My doctor wants me to drop by and see her today so I had best get organized and head out for the day. I took pictures of one my leg and will post when I get a chance. Lovely. Not broken though. As I sailed through the air I was determined to not get hurt too badly as I had to drive home. After dropping my camera and then losing my expensive computer chipped car key

I think she had fun as I did see her tap her foot a time or two and actually heard her laugh bit once. I am afraid that she did not see the delights in Disney that we do.

Our littlest Diva is the same way...we had to keep telling her to put her camera away so she could just experience it all, take it all in...the rest of must have rubbed off on her at least a little cause she booked bounce back!

Diva K, have the Divas ever stayed at any other resorts? You youngsters are more able to ignore long walks and such than us 'elderly and handicapped' folks.

My family and I stayed @WL back in 2002. While we LOVE the lodge we can't justify the price and were disappointed in the bus service there (shared a bus with the fort.) Diva Mary and her family have stayed at one of the boardwalk resorts and LOVED it but can't justify the cost. Diva Becky & family have stayed at one of the All Stars. I was satisfied with our building (70s) having previously stayed in the 50s & 80s did not find the walk to the food court or busses unreasonable. There were only two occasions both on the same day (morning and evening) going to and from MK that we thought the wait for a bus was unexceptable. We did not spend much time at the resort itself, leaving early and coming back late...and did not utilize the food court much, in fact only ate there our last night trying to use up left over dining plan credits before they expired.

I had ordered two cases of water from COSTCO to be delivered before we arrived. They could only find one case @check-in...but by bedtime that night there was a message on our room phone that they had located the other case!

Don't feel bad for me I was still thrilled with the trip and still enjoyed all magical moments. I try not to let the little things effect me overall. All though I have to admit I was very concerned that my luggage was gone forever and I would have to suffer smelling teen age boy sweat more often than usual since it was mostly my DS clothing in it. My claim number with the airline (after Pop claimed it was them who lost it) was SOLUKK. To me it read S#$% out of LUKK. lol Except for the couple road blocks this was our best trip yet due to the fun people we got to hang out with here and there. I never laughed so much in my life. I still laugh thinking about how we basically sunk the pirates of the carribean boat and that it actually took on water.

As for the case of water. I know it wasn't mine they gave you since I was gone by the time you got there. lol In the past I have had Pop loose my water in the past but they always found it later as well. This time it was checked in to the luggage room and not behind the check in counter like when I have had it delivered.

I just see the issues as a sign that it is time to try something new. Heck we stayed at Pop the last 4 trips. I have already stayed at Movies so the choices are Music or Sports for me next time.

Oh yeah, bad news about my tooth. My mouth is now numb and I have have a root canal. YUK!!!!!! You know that sucker is going to cost me more than my last Disney trip; hotel and airfare combined. Sad, Sad. I would rather be in Disney!!!!!!!!

We are heading down in 9 days even though we are only staying at POP 2 days you are all making me wonder. We're not on the dining plan and planning on just doing cs but was the food really that different?

Nancy food poisoning You have a dress to fit into!! I got it once and lost 15 lbs in a week because I couldn't keep anything down. Hope you are also not stressing about things you need to do in the next 9 DAYS!!!

Poor Ang, money spent on fun things does not bother me but those pesky necessities bug the heck out of me. I am glad you are getting your tooth fixed though. I will make you a dvd with the videos and such when I get a minute to breathe. Big doings in town next weekend and guess who is the Hostess with the Mostest?

Pooh, thanks for the good thoughts. I am with everyone on just making plans to meet up on some occasions and being free the rest of the time. I did find that I am fully capable of driving myself next trip as Lucy was not much help. I love her to pieces and we coexisted well all things considered but I did not get the restful vacation that I needed.

Will post more when I get a chance. I am on call to win a contest for my dd today and have to go listen to the radio station to try to win free Mellencamp tickets. He is performing locally soon. He is from the area and still lives here too.

I was thinking I need to call you today but now I know to wait till later so you can get those tickets. I know you will win. I won blue man group tickets last winter myself on the radio. I really wanted the trip to Las Vegas to see them but no such luck I won the local venue tix which was good for me. Hope your leg and wrist are feeling better.

I can not believe you doubted that you could drive to Florida alone. You are one strong willed person and I think you could do anything you set your mind to. I told my DH I am thinking of driving next year if flight prices continue to go up. How is Lucy? Hopefully she is feeling better.

if you check the DISclaimer it is not just for POP... it is for all the resots... I just used the POP term to glue the thread... And Rie we dont have to be in one resort to meet.. sometimes I think it is even better... look at us.. we are in the same bldg.. same resort but all we did was txt I have met so many disers this trip and majority of them where not at Pop... I did post a link from the TOT meet.. it was a success... Disers from all different resorts... I am now working on the pictures from the Kitchen Sink meet.. another success and met so many great peeps.. and so much chatter have transfired... and a new bud of mine... is Bubba and he was in ASSprt... so it doesnt really matter.. I bounced back for ASMu but will def'ly plan to join the Glowies when and if they fall on the same dates that I am there...

PS: did you and your BFF ever made it to DHS for the TOT ?? we waited a few but did not see you guys...
