Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

Nancy, everyone messes up from time to time. I am clever. I never make the same mistake twice but being clever I constantly find new ways to foul up. I envy those who can go through life without knowing/caring that they done wrong. Maybe. :rotfl:

My TV sound is messed up. I have wasted all day being mad at the cable company cause I thought it was their fault. The set is over 20 years old, think I can get a refund? The picture is good. Hey, I forgot, I can read lips. Nope, will not work cause I listen rather than watch. Yes, I talk to myself. It is the only intelligent conversation I get around here. :rotfl2:

SG who is just downright silly

OOPS my bad double posts

creech... creech...
Wow, all I hear on this thread are crickets... well, I guess here at the DIS, all I hear is Jiminy Cricket. So I guess instead of "creech-creech" I'm actually hearing When your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme.
:rotfl2:

More importantly, does anyone know what today marks? For a hint, please see signature.

Yahoooooooooooo !! M2E have 4 weeks to go !!! :dance3: better start packing missy !!:upsidedow

Nancy, all we can do is to learn from our mistakes although I think learning from others mistakes is much less painful. :rotfl: I am glad that all came out well. I got the TV free from a refund twenty years ago so I am not crying in my beer, or iced tea. Since I plan to buy a HDTV when I return from DW I will just suffer by using one of the many other TV's I have until then. :thumbsup2

Mom2Evie, I have 19 days until I go and have a medical procedure to go through before then. :scared1: The suitcases come down the pool table today no matter how much my husband disapproves. He only plays pool maybe twice a year but he complains anywho. Men!!! :) Do you have a checklist of things to do? I made one years ago when I determined that packing the bag for the bathroom and trying to remember everything else I had to do (make a list, check it dozens of times) took more time than anything else, including the drive down and back. Has saved many precious hours.

I am back from Vegas I got back yesterday morning. I had a blast but I think next time I go it will not be in the summer. It is just too hot. I think it was 107 the days I was there. I did however win $100 on the slot machine after spending $10. So that will be money towards my tickets.

We stayed at the MGM and boy did we get the run around. We checked in at the airport and of course our room is not ready because its only Noon. OK no problem so we get on the shuttle to the hotel so we leave our bags and go walking around. Come back at like 3:30 called and our room is ready. They give us our room number we go upstairs and the room door is not even shut all the way and it looks like someone is still staying in the room suitcases on the floor. So we call from the phone in the hallway and after being on hold for like 15mins. They tell us they will give us another room. So they give us another room number and told us to go there and they would meet us there with keys to get in the room. This room smelled like cigarette smoke really bad. By this time I am getting very PO'd so they finally find us a room and comp us a buffet which by the way was not worth the 24.95/pp if I had to pay for it myself. The hotel itself is very nice its just the service I recieved was down right horrible.

I cant wait I have less than 30 days and I will be in DW. I hope Airtran does not change our flights to stopovers in Atlanta.

Hope everyone has a nice day. Time to go do some yardwork or more like just sit and supervise popcorn::

One month from today! I'm dancing girls, I'm dancing! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I did actually throw my suitcase on the bed in the guest room (where I always pack) and lay out my Minnie Mouse costume. Because we're arriving at MCO at 9:30pm on the 10th, I'm thinking we might not get our luggage from ME before morning. I would normally pack a bag for me, a bag for Evie and a bag for toiletries... checking them all. This time I think I'll pack our clothing together in the large suitcase and our clothes for Thursday morning in a bag to carry on. Of course, that means I'll have to be more careful about the size of my toiletries as well. I guess I could just get travel size shampoos & toothpaste to use that morning. Any thoughts or recommendations, ladies?

I don't think I'd like suitcases lying on my pool table... even for a day. Do you at least cover the felt with a nice thick blanket?

All this mess makes me happier that we chose SouthWest for our September trip. We'll likely use them again in April 2009 for our stay at AKV. They have direct from Norfolk to MCO and so far, haven't started charging passengers for the 2nd bag (certainly not the first!)

M2E, I am German and very crazy about doing things just so, explains why I get so little done too. Yes, there are three blankets on top of the pool table and I am always sure that I am the one hoisting the big suitcase up there so as not to put any trackmarks on the table. :rotfl: All of my guest bedrooms are upstairs so this is the only option I have other than putting it all out in the dining room.

I pack one small bag for the overnight down and back and have to confess that I wear the same outfit both days. I get to DW midday and after I unpack I wash up and change clothes then. Undies DO get changed. :scared1: I do not worry about tolietries and such either. In other words folks, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT attempt to meet me until I have checked in and had time to make myself presentable. :rotfl2:

I wish I were cute enough to wear a Minnie costume. I do have a Goofy hat this trip. I got it at a yardsale. I never pay full price ya know. :)

I am curious, if you book an air flight and then they change the rules, extra charges etc., are you exempt if you booked earlier? From what I am reading it seems a horrible hassle. I am not good at new things. Heck a new toaster takes some adjustment for me.

Crazy, I hate not having a room ready earlier in the day, it plumb ruined our Las Vegas trip as we were walking zombies the whole time. Never again, under those circumstances. More days, including one to sleep. Glad you survived and had some fun along the way.

I didn't say I'm a cute Minnie. I'm more the "Mickey finally maried her so she let herself go" Minnie. ::MinnieMo

Regarding the airlines: in most cases, if you booked your flight before they changed their fee regading bags, you can request a refund usually with a form on their website. Of course, they don't advertise this policy & form, you have to find it yourself. If they rebook or cancel your flight and you don't like it, you can choose a refund. In some cases, they'll do their best to rebook you on a flight that you like more if its available. Of course, since they're actually cancelling many direct fights because shorter flights are more cost effective, they may not have any options that you like.

That is too funny and oh so NOT true!! I love your sense of humor though. :rotfl:

Per the airlines, what ever happened to contracts? I am willing to bet that if you paid full price and then they lowered the fares they would not tell you about a refund. Too much stress for me.

:worship: thank God the weekend is over!!!!!!!! Soon I will be going home and will be sleeping for the next 12 hours :faint:

Good Morning Gals,

Sorry for being MIA but my laptop's power adapter plug in was broken so I have no laptop at home until this week sometime and it was a very busy weekend for me.

Glad to see everyone had a great weekend and trip. Gotta lot of catching up to do. I will talk with everyone later.

My internet was going in and out all weekend, probably due to thunderstorms. Even at work here it's stopped working twice already.

I got rained on at Sesame Place yesterday. It's amazing how few people are in a waterpark when it's raining. The only people crazy enough to keep swimming were a few random kids, mine included.

well at least you have internet~~ I don't have any at home until our new adaptor get there!:confused3 :confused3 crazy dogs running through the house like mad dogs ripped the cord right out of the computer.

The internet isn't much use if it keeps going out every 30 minutes. I just reset the office router 3 times in a row to get it to work again. We just had a nasty thunderstorm. Hopefully it'll be clear for the rest of the day.

How did your dogs manage to rip the adaptor out?

I left it on the arm of the chair (I went to the kitchen)and Molly was sitting on the chair and she ran after me, when I was coming back from the kitchen. Mike was mad at me for leaving the laptop on the arm of the chair so I told him oh well next time you do it I will point it out to you and show you that you do it too:laughing:

My husband really does love me. :lovestruc

I woke up this morning to an iced coffee and an anniversary card on my computer desk. The only sad part is he knew exactly where to leave it so I'd find it. Must be how we've managed living together for the last twelve years.

Does anyone want to guess where we went on our honeymoon 12 years ago? ;)
Celebrated our 12th anniversary 8/3 too...small world....:goodvibes

FF, I am so cautious that I turn off my computer if it even looks like it is going to storm. I have power plugs on every single thing and I have loads of 'things'. Am even considering a whole house surge protector even though we have never had a happening in over thirty years in this house. I am sorry you are having a pain. Hope your power strip is easy to reach and you have all your plugs marked. Saves much frustration. :scared1:

Pooh, my husband bangs into things so I have to be very careful about where I put anything. I hope your laptop is not hurt. It took me too many years to be able to buy one so I am very careful. I could not replace it right now. Life without a computer is not to be borne. :sad1:

DivaKristin, I have been married nearly 40 years , probably longer than you have been alive. Yikes, I are OLD!! We celebrate every occasion at DW. This will be our first separate vacation. How can you miss someone who never leaves? :dance3: Welcome back!:lovestruc

Timmie, get that rest. I have a feeling you will not get any at DW. I plan to put Do Not Disturb signs on my door when I am sleeping. I get mean when I do not get any sleep. Some might say 'meanER'. :lmao: Actually I often get late night and early morning calls from grandchildren and manage to be half way civil. Most of the time. My oldest just came by and he has a nasty rash, unusual looking and pain in that leg. I am worried about him. He had a tick on him night before last and called me to tell him how to get rid of it. It was in a place he did not want anyone to see and grandma was pretty sure she did not want to see it either. :rotfl:

The cruise was really to celebrate my parents 40th anniversary (which was back in April!) our anniversary just happened to occur while on board (the ship put Happy Anniversary balloons and a sign on our cabin doors...very Disneyesque !) There were a lot of couples celebrating 50+ years on board! :lovestruc

Hey you weren't here but I wanted to tell you that I am now going to Disney on the 5th of Sept. instead of the 6th. Long story short got bumped off my flight.

Doesn't necessarily sound like a bad thing...an extra day @Disney?!?!?
But I am sure it stressed you out since you have a lot on your plate right now...YOUR GETTING MARRIED! :goodvibes
How does this change your itinerary/schedule????
:confused3
