Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

No she stayed in her crate just because Jilly can't be trusted yet and Light vallie (with cats yet not sure) but so far so good. Just now to get Jilly in line and Oh luca bit me this morning so he is in lockdown until mike gets home (oh I stayed home this morning too).

Luca bit you? Oh you need to get it into his head that you don't bite the hand that feeds you! Bad puppy! What the heck made him bite you?? Yeah LV might think the cats are the bunny and start chasing after them! :lmao:

OOOoohhh! Thanks Wic, I get it now. Pardon the blonde in the room! Nancy, I'm so proud of you for taking in these greyhounds. Our backyard is large, by our city's standards, but not large enough for a greyhound to be happy. I'm so happy there are people like you to give these beautiful animals a home after they've "fulfulled their usefulness" to their racer/owners. Excellent job, my friend.

Wic, we have a lab currently and she's a bit sweet baby. I'd really love for our next dog to be a Chessie but I'm not sure that DH will let me spend that kind of money on a dog. He'd much prefer to rescue one from a shelter or take in a stray. I can't say that I blame him, both of our girls were unwanted by their families and they'be been better dogs than any people deserve. My daughter dotes on them as if they were her little sisters. It's wonderful to watch how well she takes care of them.

We "adopted" our dog too. Shawn's grandmother used to spend the winters in FL with her friend that's a dog groomer...because she's a dog groomer she had a 6 foot fence surrounding her property, to keep the dogs in her yard. 5years ago, someone actually tossed Peanut over Faye's 6' fence and took off! Faye and Shawn's grandmother spent a couple months looking for her owner, no one came forward! They think Peanut came from a mobile home though, because Faye had one on her property, and Peanut kept trying to get inside of it! When Jean called me and told me that they had found a beautiful choc lab, I mentioned it to Kellie and Shawn and we decided that if Jean could get her up here...we'd take her! Jean lived up here 1/2 the year anyways...and we knew she'd was due to come home...so she packed up Peanut, her ****zu, and her 3 cats in her car and drove her up to us! Our vet told us just by looking at her that she was part greyhound part chessie and estimated that she was about 7-8 months old when we got her! Whoever had her, cared enough about her to get her fixed, but then tossed her over a fence! :sad2: She is the best dog, for the life of me...I can't understand why someone would have abandoned her! :confused3

Shhhhhh..... Don't tell, I just booked F&W (10/22-10/27)  Had DVC ressies but not air. Last minute booked Airtran w/coupon:woohoo: Our DS#1is gonna flip, the kid is an adventurous eater! He is going to be so pumped. What a great Mother's Day present. I love making my kids happy. DS#1 told me late tonight I forgot to call Miss Kelli, wish her a happy day. He is just the best kid, now if he could only get along with his brother:lmao:
Hope you all had the the most wonderful day-Thanks for listening:cutie:

What a wonderful suprise getting a call from Garrett last night:) Thanks Bon for having such wonderful babies

How wonderful you found one another! No matter the path. :)

Working with Maltese rescue for several years (and senior dog rescue too), I am still amazed and stunned by the way people treat and abandon innocent furbabies.

I've had calls about Maltese at the age of 7, 10, 12, even 14 yrs, being dumped by their caregivers (okay, questionable title) for incredible reasons: "My son went to college and it was his dog", "She's old and her breath smells", "We want to travel in our new RV"..the list goes on...of course, there is the age old: "It's just a bad dog"..no such thing as a bad dog, my friends, only a poor caregiver who does not have the time, care or inclination to love that furbaby.

Okay...off my soapbox for the day (at least the hour).

My MIL (aka Satan) has said for the longest time, she wished her mother would have given her Peanut. Peanut would not have turned out like she is now, if Satan would have gotten her! Peanut is a great dog, because my husband and I took the time to train her.

Yeah every once in a while he gets in his head that he owns certain things in the house and I kept telling him to go lay down that LV's food was not his and then I got up to go get him and he start running back and forth like a wild dog(which they do) and the next thing I knew is he bit my hand did bleed but punched it and he looked at me as soon as he did it and ran straight to his crate and started barking at me really mean like you can't take her food from me darn it!! so I crated him up until Mike got home and then he was all lovey dovey with me when he got out, like trying to say he was sorry.

I can try to find some small things this coming weekend. Vixie, I'll ship them to the same addrses as the bags if you'd like. Also when it comes time to get this all down to Florida, let me know & I'll help with shipping costs too. I can't imagine trying to pack & carry these things.

As many of you know I am phobic and my big one is animals. I are plain scared to death of them but I sure do think anyone who would abuse an animal is about as low as you can get. I have seen where many folks who are having their homes foreclosed are walking off and some of them are leaving their animals IN the house. One real estate agent said that she goes around and checks and is taking in many of those she finds. I cannot understand how you can care for someone or some animals and then walk off on them. :confused3

When I die, I wanna come back as one of you guys pets! Sounds like a good life indeed.

You all do not have to drag everything to DW I know where the Wal Mart is. The reason I could not find it before is because its sign is RED! Whoever saw a RED Wal Mart sign? It has a huge section with all sort of discounted Disney stuff. I got a great shirt that says "So much time, so little to do" with Mickey in a hammock. I enjoy irony. I wear it often. It was $40 in the parks and I paid $12.

No problem on the printing. I know I am behind on my PM's. Box is nearly full too. Maybe tomorrow night???

Mickey is an animal. So is Goofy.... and Minnie and Donald and Pluto and Chip and Dale and Simba and Nala and Rafiki and Baloo and Lady and the Tramp and so on and so on.

I guess it's just a matter or which animals, huh? Okay, I'm jsut teasing you. I totally respect & understand your fear of animals. I just couldn't resist the Mickey thing. :rotfl:

Ok just got caught back up again with the thread, I think.
When does Timmy get back from the WDW?

Rie,
Good point in what you said above. I almost choked when I read it because I could just picture SG freaking out and kicking and running from the Disney characters in the park.

Vix,
I am gonna make it work, I will, I will. I have a hard time giving up on anything. So far it is still working so it seems my ghost left. Poor Nancy is missing out on all the planning fun but she's busy with her new babies.

SG,
When we moved into our house 13 years ago we inherited the last owners cat. I loved that cat but I am so allergic. It worked though because she had no interest in coming in my house so I just fed and loved her outside the house. The house was empty for months before we bought it and moved in. The people nearest us also told us that the previous owners left their dog in the garage and it would just bark and bark till one day it stopped barking. I can only imagine how that poor dog suffered. I would much rather see an animal in a shelter than suffer like that. They had four young boys and I don't believe in lying but I sure do hope they didn't tell them the truth about what happened to their animals.

Sorry if I missed anyone else. Been busy with end of the school year stuff. 11 days and 1 hour till no more school. YEAH!!!  I think I am more excited than my DS but he's used to it since I love when we can spend more time and just go and do things without a schedule.

Ang

Mom2Evie, I am not scared of animals with zippers up their back, or Velcro. :rotfl: So there!!!!

angwill, animals love me. In a whole room of ladies who are begging a cat to come to them the cat will come to me and sit at my feet, every time. Even at DW the characters come right to me and my food gets cold. I keep thinking that they should go to the children and leave me alone. Am I evil??:rotfl2:

I have been asked to start a library at the CC for the preschool they are starting next year. I have visions of low bookcases and beanbags chairs for them to sprawl in and what books to pick. How come I think I am also going to be the primary funder for all of this? Probably so, it is my mission though. :grouphug:
