Pooh, I know that you are a Mojito Monkey, :) it was late last night and I was plumb wore out. I put that in my signature too but will go and fix it, if and when I get time. I have to take Tom for his CT scan tomorrow and then to a bowling banquet on Thursday. I get worn out just doing that much, for real. I carry my digital camera in the Monkey bag someone (You??) gave me last year so I have a constant reminder. :worship:

Bonz, I am delighted that you are coming. Do I have to put up with your boys??? :rotfl: You know I love the kids better than any old thing. That and grownups that act like kids.

Ang, I might take you up on that. Tom loves to talk to people. I am thinking that staying at POP will make things better if he comes with me as he can go lay down or whatever. He is like a kid in that he does not know when he needs a nap until it is too late. I just fall over myself,;)

Nienor, hooray for your mom! We just have to push through. Most everyone, especially as we get a bit older, has some problem and some are worse than others. Blood transfusions would help me but I am trying to avoid that. I have outlived everyone older in my family and it appears as if (sadly) I might outlive several of my younger siblings so I must be doing something right or at least nothing really wrong.

It is a bit early for me to making any real plans. I just plan what park on what days, usually picking the park that had EMH the day before so it will have low crowds, and then fill in from there, with lots of wiggle room. As cheap as this trip is going to be I think I can well afford the tea party and if anyone wants to join in that would be 'loverly;.

My friend died Saturday so I have to go to his funeral tomorrow. When they wrote about him in the paper they stated that he had made our small town his 'hobby'. What a wonderful, and true, testament to his life. He is in a far, far better place and well deserves the rest.

Kelli, if you are reading this I want to tell you how sorry I am to hear about your dad. I have many friends who have had strokes and they have done very well since. I will be hoping that your dad has an easy recovery and all will be well, soon!

YES we will be there for that :worship: :woohoo: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

Timmy can we do a Grand Gathering with Linda/guest and Wic and her gang and us??? I think all we need to do is call POP don't we?

We have been there when every park, except MK, was opened. It is interesting to think of how they started out and where they are today and who knows where they will be tomorrow. I was tickled to be at the 25th anniversary of EPCOT last year but I had a hard time thinking that much time had lapsed. ;)

We will get the results of Tom's CT tomorrow. I have positive feelings but since it was a shock, last year, to find he had any health issues at all I am not longer certain. He has always been so healthy but he has aged a lot since he retired. It has been what I thought it would be and that ain't good. Inactivity will kill you far faster than overwork IMO. :confused3

Am I correct to think that only one has to book for a Grand Gathering? Am I supposed to do anything other than show up?:flower3:

Long day today and another one tomorrow. I have canceled getting an award this weekend for lack of interest and/or energy. A friend will pick it up for me.

What are they thinking they are going to find? I will say a ton of prayers.

Yes I believe only one person has to get a grand gathering so I will ask Tmmy if she can do it or i will.

Please don't miss your award that is so important for you and all these people will miss what you have to offer them. I know being exhausted feels like but sometimes for certain things you just have to do them. What type of award is it?

Congrates on the AWARD!!!

Hi ya Pooh! Tom has to have a CT scan every six months to check on his aneurysm and that is a good thing. It is not knowing you have one that is a bad thing. He has always been very healthy, especially for his age, until recently. All his sitting around has gotten to him. The doctor said so, not me (well not this time). I am not anticipating any bad news and I hope I am right.

It is so nice to have someone else be in charge for a change. I get called a 'control freak' but no one else wants to do the work I do around here. :rotfl2:

It is not a big important award nor a big deal at all. It is just for losing weight last year. Meetings are difficult enough but when you are deaf and sitting in the middle of a lot of people and cannot understand a thing they are saying they are unbearable. I am saving my energy to go to a wedding shower on Sunday instead. Odd since I just went to this girl's parents wedding a week or so ago. :rotfl:

It has occurred to me that if worse comes to worse and I end up in the room by my lonesome, which I do not mind at all, I will have so many dining points that I will be FORCED to eat a whole lot of 2 pt meals. Frankly that does not greatly interest me but maybe I will not find it difficult to share a few? I have one lady who wants me to drive her to FL so that she can visit her sisters and they would pick her up at DW. Works for me. Lots of time betwix now and then and I am going to be like Scarlett O'Hara and think about it, not tomorrow, but much, much later. :cheer2:

Good night and good luck!! SG/Linda

I did a grand gathering a couple years back with another group. There was one person that organized everything but she needed everyones names, ages, dates of stay and reservation numbers to get the Grand Gathering going. There are so many really fun gatherings you can only do as a GG but I believe some were 2 TS credits.

HTH,
Angela

Guess what? Boys & I are leaving this Sat the 12 for WDW!!!!(interjection)-School house rocks-remember this? Can't stay home as the there is a dedication for the new school on Sunday. We got $19.00 flights on the way down & $50.00 for the way home. Times bite but both NS. So TImmy & Nancy, will we get to see you?
I guess my WDW base thinking can figure work in many lessons at the parks......
How fast does a water slide go? How many steps does it take to walk MK? What is native to Africa? Are there too many calories in a "No Way Jose"?:rotfl: :lmao:

do you want to join us this year????

Bonz,
You lucky girl you going to Disney this month. I was sad to hear all the termoil you are having between the church and the school situation but glad to hear you are going to take advantage of one of the perks of your decision. I bet next year you will be all settled in to all the new situations and you will feel more at peace with your situation.

Have fun and let us know what school lessons you make out of the trip. The ones you described look like fun.

I know there are journal pages out there on one of the Disney sites and if I find them I will forward the link to you. My DS did the journal on his trip in 5th grade and his teacher loved it when he showed it to her.

Pooh,
I would love to but my dates only overlap with you by one day so it really wouldn't be worth it but thanks for the offer. Maybe next year. I did the peter pan wishes cruise and the African Safari one at Animal Kingdom GG so if you want to know anything about either of those let me know. They were so much fun.

Hey we are going down in the beginning of August if you are interested in taking a quick trip at that time it will be just myself and DS just let me know. If anyone else is going then just let me know too. We were going to do and end of May beginning of June trip but found for the same money I could stay longer in August so we went for it. Airfare was much less expensive as well.

I thought both were awsome and I was able to use my free dining credit for the Safari one. I believe that was two credits. We met by the bird show right before park closing with a bunch of other groups where the CM's introduced themselves as our hosts, gave us nametags, special pins, and group animal names, and then sent us off with our Safari host. We went on the Safari ride and took quite a bit more time than the regular safari stopping to see and talk about the different animals. I definitely saw many more animals during that ride than any other regular safari ride. When that was over we went to tusker house and each group went to their own table for a family style meal. I wasn't too thrilled with the food which was African style food but then again I am picky so don't take my word for it. It was really nice to meet new people (this was a TGM group I met online) talk and get to know one another. On the way out it was really neat to see everything at night and the tree of life all lighted up. There were buses waiting to take us back to our resorts and we were staying at all different resorts. There were 3of us with families at Pop and they made sure our rooms were near one another in the 70's building since we were a Grand Gathering. One of the families had a prefered room and two of us had regular rooms so the prefered was around the corner on the prefered side. Actually she was dissapointed that she paid all that extra and we were only a few steps away.

As for the Wishes cruise that was my favorite but really geared for the kids most of all. I think I paid cash for that one. We met in the Contemporary on the second floor and had a little party with Captain hook, Smee, and our pirate host. We got fruit, bagged snacks (cookies, brownies, pretzels), water, and small pop cans. Call me weird but the thing I remember most was watching all the other family groups interact or should I say argue and fight. :lmao: It was actually quite comical. None of them were family's in our group thank goodness. There were no tables here so we just stood around talking and snacking while our pirate host told us jokes and stories and then smee and Captain hook were out for autographs and pictures. They then lead us down to the boat dock and we were each assigned boat numbers which were big pontoon boats. We got on with our Pirate host and they took us out on the lagoon and while we sat and waited for Wishes the host had us answer Disney questions for little prizes like a deck of cards, a pirate scope etc. It was so awsome watching Wishes from the lagoon with the music playing on the boat. Then when we got back to the dock Peter pan was waiting for us to take pictures and autographs. From there we had to walk back to MK to hop on the bus to Pop Century.

HTH, If you have any more questions let me know. I do know there was also a breakfast at Tony's in MK for GG but I don't remember any of the other things available. I know there is a list on the Disney website somewhere.

:goodvibes Thank you angwill sorry it took me so long to get back to everyone had an emergency here with me the new meds they put me on Well lets just say NO NO NO!!!! my stomache  I felt like I couldn't breath at all but feeling a little better now I can breath YEAH!!!
