Yes, Bonz, we still have a state, might be a state of confusion as our dear governor has now sold 1-65 to Iran but I am sure it will not be shut down until after you get home. Seems they figured out that a big buck could be gotten from all of us going back and forth to Florida. Indiana could not figure out how to earn any money off it though. It just shook a bit of dust off things, nothing to worry about, says I who lives in a house that is too big to move, just like me.

Angwill, now my grandson might be good looking and even nice to me on occasion but wanting to work, ummm, not so sure. Since I do not give him bucks for nothing he has to learn though. Hoping for a mean gal to put him on the right path.

mickeyvixie,if you need renovation advice, on the cheap, I am the gal to ask. Being German and liking things neat and tidy and having a husband who was allergic to work and not so very good at handling what money he did earn I have learned many tricks. If ever someone was destined to be a 'homeowner' it sure sounds like you. I am sure that there will be many bargains to be had and especially for someone who is able to see beyond colors and clutter to the bones of the house. BTW, you made a comment (joking??) about your daughter and it gave me flashbacks.

Mom2Evie, what a work situation. My daughter lived through something similar and it was horrible. Do the bil's jointly own the company? You might have just jumped the ship, Titanic, and escaped something horrendous.

Pooh, I have the solution for you and all your chores. I was watching a documentary last night about mail order brides. Seems you can buy one for a mere $6,000. I am putting my order in right away. The one I saw did EVERYTHING for the man. I only require one to cook, clean,yardwork, household renovations, etc. and I am so nice I think I will get a second one so that they each only have to work 8 hours a day. They can have their own rooms as I do not require any help sleeping. Now what state is same sex marriage legal in and where can I sign up for polygamy?

S/G ..As much as we wish we could own our own place, our credit tells us NO! What are ya gonna do? You would love what I uncovered under about 9 layers of paint. Our doorbell is the the old fashioned kind that you twist the knob and it rings, kinda like a bike bell but lots louder. I got some non drip stipper (no you sickos not that kind of stripper, the paint kind ) and put on it to get most of the layers off and chipped away for over an hour to get the rest. GORGEOUS RAISED DESIGN in the metal (I think it may be brass but it is a bit corroded so I am not sure) I scrubbed it with a kitchen brush and used some Tarn-X and it is sorta silver in spots and brass looking in others It's not copper cause it doesnt have that verdigri (sp?) like that metal gets. EH! who knows at least the design isnt obscured anymore.

Before I started you could barely tell there was a bell plate there but I was bound and determined to uncover it. That and I have a lot of time on my hands. LOL The house itself is about 100 years old and used to be housing for the executives, then later the workers for a local brewery that closed. They were sold off over the years to various ppl. We contemplated doing a rent to own thing but we really want to get out of this area. Plus it is in a flood zone..yay

Because my username is Mom2Evie, a few of you lately have referred to me as simply Evie. Of course, I figure that's just shortening my username, since Evie is my DD, it throws me for a loop every time.


Since some of you are going to meet me in person, I'm thinking you should know what to call me. My name is Rie, pronounced Ree. It's the second syllable of my middle name Marie.

Slightly Goofy, you're Linda, right? Pooh is Nancy? What about the rest of you, if you don't mind.

I got a gloating call a little while ago from Poohbear. She was safely in and at the Studios having a hotdog. She suddenly had to go (called me back later) to tell me she saw Bonz walking by so she wanted to catch her.

Pooh took me into BatB with her but the butthead was supposed to call me back so I could listen to the show but didnt. I need a Disney Fix woman and the brat was waiting to hear it

I got to see the neighbors new grandson (2 days old--they kick them out quick anymore dont they) I dont like babies but he was cute.

I was at Great Adventures yesterday. While the rides at Six Flags parks are great, their customer service sucks big time. My son and I were asked to evacuate a ride on the wrong side and jump down three feet to the ground. All without even an apology.

Oh and I paid 6.99 for a plain funnel cake.

HA! Wonder what they would have done had you refused to jump down. *Note that Vixie does not jump that far cause she has a bad habit of ankle injuries.

SEE! I keep telling everyone that WDW is not that expensive food wise. Dont ever go to Hershey Park or you will go broke. $12 bucks for a hamburger(single no cheese) fries and a small drink I can get the same thing at Disney for about $3 less.

I got a call from Nancy yesterday too......my god, by the sounds of it..her cellphone was put into overdrive yesterday afternoon! She was all excited when she called me! I'm sure she and Timmy must be creating havoc in the world by now!

September can't come quick enough for me, I need my WDW fix....sooon!!!!!

Sadly, I will just miss a lot of people. I am just catching Nancy's party, thankfully.

I booked on the bounceback earlier than I was there last year because my son's school just started full force the week we left and I wanted to avoid that next year. Now he will be gone during their getting settled week with no homework going yet. I am going to cry if they do bounceback for next year since he will be a freshman and I can't see how we would be able to pull him out a week then.

Anyway, maybe we can meet another time. If you will be there on the 13th Timmy is planning another Tower or Terror meet and ride. That was a lot of fun last year.

Actually it was 7.48 after tax. 50 cents was my husbands estimate of how much it was worth also. But I told him I figure 75 cents after you put in the cost of the surly help. Sadly that's just unavoidable around here.
