Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

OMG, Timmie! I am sure glad I went back and read your posting twice because I was greatly appalled at your being told

I have to learn as early as now since I was born alone and will die alone.. eventually they will pass away and nobody will be there to take care of me...

and I thought you were woken up before school to do all of those chores. What nationality was your mom? I am guessing she had a harsh childhood herself.

The thing us parents do and often do not realize. All we can hope for is to be a bit better than our parents and hope that successive generations march toward the perfection that we are not likely to achieve. :woohoo:

WIC, they might knock us down but we keep getting up. We are Weebles ya know~~!

Figment, round these parts we have folks who get the biggest baddest dog they can find and have it chained up as an early warning system. They made a law against such treatment a couple of years ago and we no longer see much of it, thankfully.

Shrubs almost done. Only have dinner, laundry, dishes and such to do and then I am off duty for the night. :cheer2:

Honestly... looking back... and if will be ask if I want to change anything.. my answer would be no... I am a product of mix marriage .. dad's side is italian/arabian and moms chinese/phillipines ... both side hated each other and so both mom got disowned by their parents... and so my mom was just scared that I will end up like my cousins.. who dont even know the differences between a weed and a lettuce :rotfl: and with my present experience... I am very thankful for all the things I was thought.. it did made me a VERY strong person... I will never be hungry :rotfl:

Timmie, you are so wise to understand the reasoning behind your parents way of raising you. Most parents want better for their children.

How sad that the families could not get over the differences and see the similarities. It must have made holiday times a bunch of fun around your house.

Explains a lot about why you are the way you are, Wonderful!!

I am the oldest of 8 and my parents were hard on us older ones but got worn out toward the end. There is a definite line of demarcation between the older ones and the younger ones. I am glad I am the oldest, and therefore the best. :lmao:

I always insisted that my children marry within their race, HUMAN!!!!!

FINALLY went to see Prince Caspian over the weekend. I know, I know.... what took me so long? Well, we had plans 3 different times in May to go with friends but each time one of the kids going, got sick. June is just TOO crazy a month to go. Then I was going to take Evie on Thursday, but I came down with food poisoning (Happy 4th, huh?)
I have been a HUGE fan of the books since I was a very young girl. I was so thrilled with what Disney did in the first installment. They stayed so true to what CS LEwis wrote. Prince Caspian was fabulous as a stand alone movie, but I was sorely disappointed in the deviations they took from the book. Evie didn't care though. She begged me to buy her a Queen Lucy dress from Disney since she already has a Queen Susan dress. Of course, I'll comply. How could I deny her anything Narnia.... especially if it's Disney. If you get a chance, find the Lucy costume at DisneyShopping.com and you'll see her costume for MNSSHP.

Ang, you evil woman you! :lmao: You know darned well that I am that horrible person who ADMITTED to bringing a microwave to DW. Actually, someone on this thread, whom I will protect, has asked if I would bring mine this trip for group useage. :rotfl: I do not think I have the strength to pack and load much this trip and hopefully my room will be near the food court so it will not save you all many steps any old way.

ANTS, you sure are a mess for such a young gal. I think people freak out when first diagnosed with things, I know I have, and then they look around and see others with the same thing surviving and thriving and get on with it all. It is all you can do. If you sit around and contemplate dying too much you waste life. I plan to go out with a bang! If I find myself faltering at DW I will just join the TOT group. I do not mind dying but do not want to linger. Can I take my turkey leg on the ride?:cool1:
SG

Heee Heee! I remember you telling me that story at the glow party last year. I will back u no matter what the moral police think. :rotfl: I would think the microwave would be a pain to take with.

As for health problems. Everyone has them so I don't bother talking about mine. I will say I know exactly what you mean about when you first hear there is something not right and can be your demise it scares the sh#$ out of you. :scared1: Then as you research and time goes on you realize there isn't anything you can do to be completely rid of it so what better kick in the pants to get you out and living life to it's fullest. The choices are to let it consume your thoughts and time or to live each day to it's fullest and put the problems to the back of your mind.

Nancy,
So glad to hear things worked out for you.

Ang

To all you kind folks, even Ang. :lmao:

You do realize that I am not going anywhere for a few days, just very, very busy right here. Today is my usual horrendous Tuesday and tomorrow I have massive doctor's appointments et al. Thursday my boys will be showing at the local fair and you know I will be front row and center. Nothing I enjoy more than being enclosed with massive amounts of animals. (yeah, right) Friday I have to take a friend to an appointment in Indianapolis.

I am not as young as some of you all and do not have the energy to press the button and wait patiently for my machine to boot up after such days.

Thank you for all your kind offers of help. If you really want to = I have a basement that needs to be cleaned. :rotfl:

Take care and behave until I get back, please?

SG

That's because your a fighter Timmy! No one is going to knock you down! :woohoo:

can't knock down someone who have been knocked out :p or just like my dad always says... You can never scare someone who is already and always has been scared ...:lmao:

Hope all is well with your bp today.. hangin' there...

I didn't have anything else to drink the entire weekend. Even though I went to two more BBQ's. I told my husband maybe I'll be ready to drink a little again by New Years. :faint: Hadn't actually been drunk in several years.

Don't like seeing dogs chained up either. If you can't take good care of a pet, then you don't belong owning one. Chaining them out in the cold/wet/hot (depending on season) yard all the time isn't taking proper care of a pet.

FF not even one serving of jello ???

I'm back, and cleared one hurtle! No heart defects! :woohoo:

You cancelled what reservation? Did we drop the grand gathering or were you referring to an ADR?

Sorry Gals not GETTING NOTIFICATIONS AGAIN:headache: :headache:

NO Since Wic was on my ressie with me and Timmy already had me on hers and wic can't come this year I just dropped the ressie and completely went over to Timmy's ressie with her.

Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, WIC!!! I am delighted for you. I hope they find out what is wrong and it is a simple fix.

My heavens, does this mean that Pooh and ANTS will be in the same room? Guess I know where to go if I wanna party!!:cheer2:

Now, for my good news. I am so happy that I woke up early and that is why I am computing this morning.

I found the perfect person to go with me. :cool1: It was one of the first people I asked way back when and now she finds that, barring any unforseen circumstances, she CAN go. She is sort of a relative but we get along well. We are equally balanced as far as health issues so neither one of us has to worry about slowing the other one down and she has never been to DW. I love showing the place off to newbies. I am over the moon. The fact that it cuts my expenses in half is good too as that means I can go to the tea party and a couple of other things.

See you later gals, SG
