Modifying dessert party when less than 7 days

Has anyone had success modifying a dessert party when under the 7-day cancelation policy? I’m afraid to book a new one if it pops up just to be told I can’t cancel the old one and it seems like calling to book if I see it is a lost cause (likely to be gone when I actually get through). Trying to switch from pre-party to seats and sweets. Thanks!
