Modifying a Reservation/How To and 7 Month Timing Question

Tried this morning to modify my reservation but the system was not cooperative. When I was able to finally get it to work, it said i did not have enough points to make the reservation. It was treating it like a new reservation and not a modification of the existing reservation using the same points. I am actually trying to save myself some points! Do i need to completely cancel my existing reservation to switch? I am afraid of losing what I do have! Please help

No, you have to go from your dashboard and click on View/Modify details. Then click on modity next to the room type, which will bring up the resort search where you can search for new dates and/or resorts. This will tell the system that you are modifying and not creating a new reservation and should use points already allocated.
