Modifying a Free Dining Reservation

Thanks to everyone for all of the helpful replies so far!

Can someone explain what the difference is between the normal reservations cast members and guest services? I honestly had not heard of the latter (in terms of phone cast members) until this thread.

Does guest services have an email address you can use? Do they have a direct phone number? Or if I call the main number and ask for them, will the cast member know what I'm talking about and direct me appropriately?

I don't know if there is an email address or direct number for guest services, but you can call the regular reservation number and ask to speak with guest services. The CM should know how to transfer you, but if he/she doesn't know how (or says it can't be done), hang up and call back.

Just call Disney directly. If the agent you speak with is unable to help you, ask if you can speak with guest services.

I've modified numerous times through the years...

There is no direct number to Guest Services for this issue, as they assist various departments. You must go through the Central Reservation Office. CRO may or (more likely) may not transfer you to GS for reservation specific issues. Usually CRO will place you on hold and mediate. GS is the only one who can override the system for CRO.

Also, having a valid reason for needing a reduction in days usually helps.
